We got away for a couple of days at the Hyatt Regency Lake Las Vegas Resort this past March. It's a half-hour drive from las Vegas.
Very luxurious, nice staff, Wonderful location. The Hyatt and the neighboring Ritz have created a tiny little village for themselves. it's like an Italian coastal town. Pretty bright-colored buildings, charming walkways, some shopping (like a Piazza), really peaceful. Mountain views from all around [even the parking lot].
It's not crowded or filled with people. For that, stick to the Las Vegas Strip. Or if you want to get away, but come to the Strip for nightlife, it's totally doable.
A friend, an avid golfer, was ecstatic with the place. Loved it.

Full bar, amazing and creative Malaysian menu. While they have a lot of great choices, I go for only one dish. Bua Mango. They scoop out 2 halved mango shells, cook the thinly sliced mango and Tofu [you have to ask for it] in a wonderful, sweet/sour/spicy sauce and serve it in the mango shell. OOh. My mouth just waters.
My husband is a bit more adventurous and orders something different every time and then makes me share my Bua Mango. I keep telling him that he needs to get his own!
If you have reservations, [6+], be there on time. They won't seat you unless everyone is there. This place is really busy. They have a couple of different locations all over the city.

I saw just the "after", but was impressed. The service is quick and efficient. The salsa rocks! The portions are large (too small to share, too large for just one) and come with beans, mexican rice, and all the sides (lettuce, tomato, pico de gallo, sour cream, guac).
Great place for a local dinner out.

No.. it really isn't just another dollar store. 99Cents Hut in Oakland is the place I turn to for everyday supplies and holiday goods. They carry the basics that all other stores do and more. This dollar store carries a lot of brand name products and items from India. The staff is very helpful and they even take special orders for your special occastions; babyshowers, birthday parties, bridal showers and more. It's the ideal place to shop for party supplies, candles and frames because the quality is amazing. Why pay more?

Appetizers/Soups: Nothing really extraordinary. The Spring Rolls are not greasy like they usually are at most places and the Vegetable Tempura is good. The Steamed Dumplings would be my preference. After Jai Ya (NYC), I haven't even tried Tom Yum soup eleswhere. But you could try it and let me know.
Entrรฉes: The Spicy Vegetable Dumplings and the Pad Thai are wonderful. The Pineapple Rice is also a great accompaniment; the presentation on the rice beats all [it's served in a scooped out pineapple shell]. The green curry is tasty, but only if you like the coconut milk taste.
Service is attentive and polite.

She has helped my friends and colleagues find numerous apartments and homes as well and has played an integral role in posting and selling homes for us as well.
American homes feels like a family run business and they can help you buy and sell as well as guide you through local laws and regulations. They've even helped me find a loan and helped me find competent inspectors.
Great place and kudos to Jesika. She's honest and sincere. No games. She made the process a lot kinder and easier than some stories I've heard.

It's really hard to find a good doctor or a good dentist in an era of HMO and large practices. I have found a good one it is a small practice run mainly by father and son. Dr. Freeman Sr.. has been around for a while and now his son and other specialists work with him. He's got a great smile and puts a patient at ease with his gentle touch and funny stories. He is very knowledgeable and his staff is just the same. They do all the basic work from cleaning to root canal as well as whitening and other cosmetic procedures. I love this practice because they make you feel like a patient and not just another customer.

This is the place - forget everyone else...Rite-Aid, CVS etc....the best service you can get period! My pharmacy offers me free delivery, the lowest prices in Newark and refill reminders. The employees are very efficient and very courteous....they really care! The best part of the pharmacy is that it is located on the ground floor of Newark Beth Israel Medical Center right where all my doctors are. its located conveniently in the main lobby....kudos to the staff!

Dr. Gandhi is an incredibly knowlegeable and patient doctor [I need a patient doctor]. He listens well and understands. The office is comfortable and welcoming.
What impresses me most is how he treats you like family. And how he listens and give you the best possble advice.
The practice is very busy and he does run late on appointments occasionally.
Parking is plentiful on neighnoring streets and he's very accessible via public bus/van.
Accepts most insurances and will even work with you if you have no insurance. The office volume is such that you have to give them time for paperwork.

Brokers also has "halls" for family gatherings such as baby/bridal showers, sweet sixteens, birthdays, anniversaries and etc... Brokers is a good, cheap local place for people to go to.
