Can you say fill me up for about $5? This is the place for starving students and people on a budget who want good mexican food at a super cheap price. Their quesadillas are to die for and their burritos are huge! I'd say people on a diet, beware of this place. Parking is pretty much a hit or miss so I'd suggest taking the bus or walking. This is one place I'd definitely recommend for people who want a full meal at a cheap price.

This place has been in the sunset for years but they closed down so now I've been frequenting their other location in the Mission district. One of the more affordable sushi restaurants in the city that offers lunch and dinner at a super reasonable price. I especially love their lunch specials as you can get full or about $8 bucks. Of course, parking is a little difficult, especially on the weekends but definitely worth the trek to at least try out the place.

When you have a craving for Pho (vietnamese soup noodles) and it's late, this is the place to go. Their soup is fragrant and hot and they serve it up super quick. Their vietnamese egg rolls aren't too bad either. If you want, order up some spring rolls to go with your noodle soup and you've got yourself a meal. I would definitely say that this place is a keeper in the sunset district. Parking is a little difficult at times though, so forewarned.

Of course, you have to order beer to go with the pizza! This is one place where you always feel comfortable and the staff is super friendly. Easy to get to either by bus or by car with plenty of street parking. Weekends are crowded though so beware. And they offer delivery too!

This place is one of the last remaining donut shops in the sunset. They offer some killer fresh donuts and donut holes and is relatively cheap. Their hot chocolate reminds me of home but, of course, I still need my strong coffee fix elsewhere though. I recommend this place when you have a craving for donuts and hot chocolate or if your wife is pregnant and have some crazy cravings for bear claws! Plenty of street parking too!

This place has the best pad thai I've tasted in a while and the prices aren't too shabby either. My friend recommended this place for dinner and we celebrated my birthday there. They offered a variety of typically thai fare and their fish cakes are to die for! I'm in love. Only thing is that they are located right in Chinatown so the parking situation is not optimal but if you go there for dinner, you might get lucky and find street parking, otherwise, it's garage parking.

Wow, this place rocks! They cook your burger on this huge rotating fire grill and that grill makes all the difference in the world! And to top it off, you get to put your own toppings on your burger from their condiment bar. Lettuce, shredded or leaf, tomatoes, pickles, onions, diced or sliced, everything you can think of, you can top onto your burger. I think this place has other locations too but I've only been to their Sunset location. Parking sucks, so be prepared to either ride with someone and have your buddy circle around while you pick up the food or walk there.

They offer some amazing combo platters and some of their bento boxes start at like 5 bucks. They also send you coupons if you're on their mailing list for 15% off your next meal. Very cool atmosphere and family friendly too. Ony drawback is that parking is pretty much non-existent around that area so be prepared to hunt for spaces for about half an hour. My favorite spot for sushi and japanese food in the sunset.

Best pizza spot for a late night dinner. They still cook their pizza in a brick style oven and that totally makes a huge difference in the quality of the crust. Definitely a place to go to when you want authentic pizza or even pasta. Their specials on beer is pretty good. Only drawback is that if you're driving, be prepared to circle around for spaces, especially on the weekends. They do deliver but eating the pizza there fresh is a much better option. One of the best pizza joints in the Sunset.

Wow, this place doesn't have the best decor but it sure makes up for it with the huge portions of food they serve and the cheap prices. Definitely a place to go when you're hungry or a starving student. One order will basically fill you up and you'll probably have some left over for lunch the next day. Would definittely recommend this place to my friends. One of the best Chinese restaurants in the city.
