This place offers a killer deal on lunch. The lunch specials start at about $5.50 and comes with salad and soup. Great deal especially since I only work a few blocks away. Good place to take someone out on a date for dinner too as the prices are pretty decent for thai food. The staff is super friendly and always greets you with a smile. The fish cakes and pad thai are one of the bests in the city. Definitely a place to frequent both for lunch and dinner.

I've been frequenting this place since I was in high school. The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's always crowded and the food is always fresh and served super fast. The #1 noodle soup can fill up anyone and if you are absolutely starving, be sure to add on an order of spring rolls and you will come out totally satisfied. As usual, with the majority of places, parking is a crap shoot but if you don't mind walking, there's plenty of parking about 2-3 blocks away. The service is fast and friendly. But beware, they only accept cash.

This is one chinese restaurant that opens way late. I think they close at 2:00am. So if you have a craving for a late night snack or late dinner, this is the place to go. They serve the typical chinese fare and also offer desserts like red bean ice cream drink or jelly drinks. The portions are pretty big and they serve it up quick! You can probably get full for under $8 bucks. Only drawback is that parking is pretty much non-existent in Chinatown so you'll have to circle around and hopefully, if you're lucky, get a space or go park in the garage.

This is one place where you can call in your order and expect it at your doorstep within 30 minutes. Sometimes even sooner! They offer the typical chinese food and have been located on Irving st. for as long as I can remember. Their hot and sour soup is very good and their hunan prawns is super spicy. Parking is relatively easy for dinner but lunch is kinda difficult. The service staff is attentive and really fast to serve the food. I typically order delivery though because it's free.

When you have a craving for burgers and you live in the sunset district and don't want to drive too far for it, this is the place to go for burgers. They have some killer fried zuchini and fried mushrooms, too. A must have to go with your burgers are the fries. They make everything to order so it's fresh and you can call it in and pick it up. The prices are really good and the service is great. It's a small mom and pop type establishment and will get you some good ole fashioned burgers.

They are also one of the few places in the sunset that serves porridge. Definitely worth it to try it out when you get a chance Prices are decent and the wait staff is pretty quick. Only thing if parking is kinda hard to find, especially on the weekends. I would say that the service is pretty decent too.

I think they make their own breads too as their rolls are fresh out of the oven and really tasty. They are always crowded during dinner, especially during the weekends so go there early. I'm not sure if they take reservations though. they are have daily specials that come with soup and a dessert but their dessert is typically jello.

They have 2 types of salsa, the mild green and the hot red ones. I always order their enchilada and taco dinner platter and that is just perfect to stuff me up with a beer to go with it. They offer happy hour specials on beers and magaritas too. The table wait is pretty quick. I think the longest I had to wait was about 10 minutes.

We've been going there every weekend for breakfast for years. They serve some monster portions of breakfast. Their breakfast all meat platter is a carb lovers dream! They also serve a lunch special mondays through fridays that you can get a burger, shake and fries for $4.00. Can't beat that anywhere in the city. Also, you can get your oil changed next door and while you're waiting, get your breakfast too. The family owned restaurant has some of the friendliest wait staff ever. Definitely recommend.
