I, too, had the "unfortunate" need for the services of Pediatric Surgical Associates. My son needed surgery to correct a birth defect that caused a large "dip" in his chest wall. Our insurance company denied our claim because he needed a "cosmetic" procedure, even though he had always had some difficulty breathing. The pre-certification person at Pediatric Surgical Associates was wonderful, guiding our family through the appeals process until the insurance company agreed to cover the surgery and ensuing hospital stay. My son can now run without difficulty, hasn't needed a breathing treatment since the surgery, and has shot up from the 25% in height to 90% in the two years since the surgery. The doctors were wonderful, in surgical skill and bedside manner. Thank you Pediatric Surgical Associates!
