Pukalani Superette is not just a store, it's a landmark. From the old Haleakala Hwy, turn left on Makawao Ave, at Pukalani Superette; it's a well-known instruction. This is a medium sized market, whose main competitor is Foodland. If you want to see locals shop, then shop here. Every Friday's paper has their sale ad, and it's hard to find parking here on the week ends.
