Splish splash is pretty much at the end of LIE and it'll probablly take a hour and a half from Queens area. It's a little far, but kids have the best times there. We took a trip there with church kids and they absolutely loved it. It's the best place to cool down during this hot summer if you're in the vicinity. This is a great water park for the whole family.
