Overpay and Overindulge 10/9/2011

Oh Crescent Ridge, where did you go wrong? Yes, your ice cream is yummy. But your prices for ice cream are much higher than local seasonal ice cream places. Yes, your portions are bigger, but to a gluttonous degree. As of September, 2011, prices went up for ice cream. A small is $4.75 (2 scoops) and a large is $5.25 (3 scoops) A small is way more than enough for anybody. A child size (one scoop) is $4.25! It’s also way too much for a child to eat, so much of the time, it gets wasted. What are you doing to the carbon footprint? We know that Bliss Dairy, makes your ice cream, so maybe you can charge what they charge their customers? And what happened to your customer service? We sent a complaint via email twice and no response. Do you feel that business is so good that you ignore loyal customers? General public: If you want ice cream, there are so many other options in the area that are open from May-September. Unfortunately, the choices dwindle when summer ends and all there is are corporate, ie: Friendly’s, (which recently went bankrupt) Coldstone Creamery, Baskin Robbins and Dairy Queen. But at least they offer cones for kids that are under $2.00. Open Year round: There is Spruce Pond Creamery in Franklin, Black Cow in Millis (might be open year round, call for updates) Bliss Dairy in Attleboro, J.P. Licks at Legacy Place,Dedham. If you want ice cream for your kids, go to McDonalds for a 99 cent soft serve cone or Friendly’s for a $1.39 kids cone, you won’t be tempted to eat it yourself and you’ll save a ton of cash. more
