Maybe the low carb craze helped them disappear but I seem to remember them going rapidly before that. All you seem to be able find anymore is a Manhattan Bagel. Maybe this one has been able to survive because the bagels are so darn good. They are also reasonably priced. The downside is when you are running into get one it can sometimes be a pain to park because its in the middle of town...well worth the aggravation though.
