Good sushi, super service, ok decor

Wednesday, April 19, 2006
It's bizarre to go to Chinatown for Japanese food, but that's where the conceirge at XV Beacon sent us (he's either got a deal with Ginza or has the hots for the waitresses in the Japanese kimono things.) The sushi was good, but not "spectacular" as promised (the menu was standard - kind of boring actually.) The service, however, was superb. The food came fast, it was nicely presented, and the waitress was engaging. The price was reasonable. The decor was ok. We were happy, but not delighted.
