I always like going here because of the prices. There sometimes may be a wait, the restaurant is kind of small, however, it is well worth it. Also, the parking lot is shared with other establishments in the small plaza. Sunday's are very popular so be prepared to wait.
The restaurant is located in North Park a few minutes from Hillcrest in San Diego.

Each dog gets is own Plexiglas area, with a pet couch, a TV with animal planet, a radio playing with classical music and treats. There also is a for the owners. The very fact that there is a web cam in your dog's space just makes me a whole lot less worried when I have to leave her.
Although the kennel averages $36/night plus more for walks, playtime, etc. I feel that it is worth it for the dogs and peace of mind for the owners.

Although, this was a bit far for me to travel, I was referred here by a couple of co-workers. My stylist is a skilled colorist, as well as, gives excellent haircuts.
The salon itself, is very stylish, upbeat and art deco. They are an Aveda retailer and always have a full product line for browsing. The parking lot is huge so parking is never an issue. Their busy days are Saturdays, understandably, but, I never have a problem getting a weekend appointment.
You also, can make an after hours appointment if necessary. Give Salon Bravado a look-see!!!

When I lived in Kensington, I went to Ponce's once or twice a week. They are newly remodeled from a small cramped space to a completely transformed beautiful restaurant with an outdoor patio seating. The food is absolutely delicious. There is a good size bar area and they serve excellent margaritas. The staff are very friendly and professional. You pretty much can get in and out. The parking can be hairy, although, there is a good sized parking lot, it can fill quickly.

Lestat's is a small coffee house that has entertainment from time to time. I enjoyed going there for a cup of joe and reading. Parking in that area stinks though, esp. at night. Lestat's seem's to be pretty popular with a young crowd, but, I found it quite enjoyable. Try it out!!! I think they also might a wireless connection.

My family lives in South Pasadena and when I come to visit on the holidays, I go with them to Holy Family. It's a small community church that has a school with it. There are a lot of family oriented activities at Holy Family and I have attended some of there functions. They have a choir that is always looking for new members. Over the years there have been quite a bit of renovating making this little church pretty immpressive with all of the new services it is now able to offer.
