The staff are very knowledgeable and get to know their clients on a personal level and can anticipate their needs upon entry into the location.

So if you are planning a huge party or concert and adding some lighting to add to the look or theme, be sure and contact these guys and see what they can do for you.

I have been seeing Dr. Hicks between 5-10 years now and have nothing but good things to say about him. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field and also, extremely popular in San Diego. He is appointment book fills up fast.
Unfortunately, because of his popularity, I'm not able to utilize him for pschotherapy, so I usually go for med checks for my aniexty and depression every six months or so. I've been able at times to get med. samples from him and he can give me referrals for therapists when I need one. Dr. Hicks accepts Blue Cross among other HMO plans.
Dr. Hicks is located in the heart of Hillcrest San Diego and there is a large parking structure to park in. Parking is validated at your appointment.

First off, I wanted to share that part of the above address is incorrect. The city and zipcode should read San Marino, CA 91108. I have alerted an agent to get this corrected.
Anyhow, I have worked with two of the agents at this location who have been in the real estate business for over 20 years. They are both extremely knowledgeable in their field and are highly successful. The agents at this location will bend over backwards to find a home to meet you or your families needs and work with your budget. They will help with financing and other legal matters that go along with purchasing a home.
If the agents at Prudential CA Realty in San Marino a try!!!

This an extremely popular little sushi restaurant in the heart of Hillcrest in San Diego. There is a small outdoor patio and seating inside the restaurant, however, the restaurant is always packed, esp. in the evenings.
There is a half price sushi happy hour from 3-7pm PST and no phone orders are accepted at that time. Other than those hours, it is best to call in your order and pick up.
I am not a sushi person, but, I do order their California rolls and Jumbo Maki with a soda. They have birthday specials, but, I'm not sure what they are.
Ichiban recently installed an ATM machine in their tiny restaurant, and it is a good thing because they don't accept Visa/Debit cards during their happy hour, 3-7pm

I have been coming to the Livingroom Coffee House for many years. I frequent the cafe on University Avenue in Hillcrest and the location near SDSU on El Cajon Blvd. My favorite drinks are their Milky Ways and Mocha Freezes.
Yes, I do like their coffees and the pastries, but, the best thing about the coffee house is the free wireless internet connection before 7pm. How totally cool. This makes this an ideal location for students and other professionals that need to host study groups and need to have a wireless connection. There are fees after 7pm and I'm not sure what they are.
There is an outdoor patio for smokers or for people who just like the outdoors to eat and people watch. There is karaoke on Friday nights and discussion groups that meet here, as well as, clubs and groups of people that enjoy eating talking together.
There is only one issue and that is the parking. The metered spots often fill up and stay filled up at this location all day. At night there is a lot of young people who congregate outside and use up the parking.

I always remember Ray's Tennis because of the big green sign with Ray's in yellow text and Tennis in white letters and a yellow tennis ball popping out of the sign.
Ray's shop has got a complete inventory of tennis balls, tennis racquets, outfits for both men and women, tennis shoes and other tennis paraphernalia that you could ever dream. They used to have a tennis court in the back of their building, but, that has been long gone.
Ray's Tennis is in the heart of Hillcrest where parking is at a premium, so some times it may be hard to find the free parking.
Give Ray's a look-see!!

This restaurant is a extension of Hamburger Mary's in Hillcrest, San Diego. It is another extremely fun and high energy place to go for drinks and co-mingle with friends and possibly make some new friends of your own. You might even meet somebody special.
There is a spacious outdoor patio to enjoy your meal or drinks and they often written in chalk on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant the specials for the day. Very clever! Also provided for the many pooches passing by is a big red water bowl for their dining/drinking pleasure.
The food is delicious with a wide variety of dishes and healthy dishes as well. Their full bar can make any drink you can imagine. Betty's also from what I hear has a wireless internet connection but you must purchase minutes.
Parking also can be a bear when it comes to the dinner hour and on Friday's and Saturdays.

Hamburger Mary's is a fun restaurant that is always packed with people. The food is delicious from hamburgers to gorgeous looking salads to healthy dishes to choose from and the deserts are yummy too! There is an outdoor bar/patio where you can dine or order drinks and chat it up with your friends.
There is a dance floor/entertainment area that has something on every night of the week. There are line dancing classes, karaoke nights, general dance nights. Hamburger Mary's also has a clogger group that performs during events in San Diego. I also, believe, they have a softball team that plays in a league of other local businesses in the area.
Parking can be tough, for it is in the heart of Hillcrest.

I don't usually shop for gifts for birthdays, but, when I am desperate I go to Laguna Trends. They have a large assortment of gifts from jewelry, picture frames, tons of candles, stationary, journals, wrapping paper, pre-built bows, decorated gift bags, little trinkets at the counter, holiday stuff when it's the holidays, and an endless supply of greeting cards. The employees are helpful when you need help choosing and are quick at the register. The gift shop also has a free gift wrapping service for when you are a poor gift wrapper.
The only downfall of this delightful shop is that it is located in a very busy shopping plaza. There is underground parking, however, that can be a nuisance.

Palomino's has delicious food. My favorite items are a carne asada burrito with sour cream inside, beef rolled tacos, bean and cheese burritos and their ceviche tostadas.
The restaurant also has a salsa bar that has bins for sliced cucumbers, huge radishes, lime wedges and hot carrots. There also is a huge bin of corn chips to go along with the salsa.
The restaurant is a sit down place with a few tables in front of the entrance. Palomino's is located in a busy strip mall, so that only down side is that parking can be extremely limited during lunch hours.
All in all, I love Palomino's Mexican and Seafood.
