Costco may be a warehouse club like Sams but it's SOO much better! I drive fifteen miles out of my way to go to Costco when there's a Sam's right down the road. I love Costco's selection and find it's worth the drive for my families' needs. Costco carries their own Kirkland brand which I have never been disappointed in. I buy organic milk that's about a third of the price of my local supermarket. I also can buy organic butter, veggies and fruit for much cheaper than even the local farmer's market. The selection isn't as good but for the price, it's still my favorite.

The Georgia Aquarium is a wonderful addition to Atlanta. It is well set up and the collection of various sea life is amazing. There are five different sections that contain creatures from various parts of the ocean. They have a river section, an artic section, ocean wonder, reefs and a section devoted to Georgia. The highlights of the aquarium are the Baluga Whales, the Whale Sharks (we're the only aquarium outside of Asia to carry them), and the sea dragons. Each are amazing to see. The food court is a little pricey but the food is pretty good. The crowds during school holidays and weekends are atrocious! They really need to cut down on how many people are allowed in at any one time.

Jake's ice cream is a fun little family eatery where you can have a nice sandwich and yummy ice cream! There is a nice couch with books if you want to go alone and just relax reading while you enjoy your lunch or snack. The staff is very friendly and will allow you to try a flavor (or two if you're nice) in your search for the perfect cone. The flavors change so you may not find your old favorite but rest assured, there will be something on the menu you'll end up loving.

Metrotainment is mostly a supply bakery for some of Atlanta's well-known restaurants. Those unbelievably yummy pieces of cake...probably made by metrotainment. However, they do exist as a stand alone if you want a cake, pie, or tart for yourself. You have to drive to their warehouse (definitely a bare bones warehouse) and pick your cake up but it's worth it. The cakes are absolutely amazing...they're beautiful and so good! The price is also great. I always get the white chocolate mousse cake which has won awards. It's a little over $30 but it feeds a small town. I took one into my husband's work and had plenty to bring home even. Highly recommend.

I can't say enough about Great Harvest Bread Co.! I was first introduced to their amazing rolls by a friend who lives in Lexington Kentucky and brought some down during a visit. People were almost fighting over these rolls. They're dense but not hard. Just filling and delicious. Perfect for making little sandwiches or as a side. I also love the company's philosophy of enjoying life. It was founded by two former attorneys who burnt out. Each store offers free tours to children. Great breakfast breads and baskets available as well.

That bulls-eye calls to me as though I were a bullet! I try to resist but they just have so much fun stuff! I love that they carry the same types of items as a Wal-mart or K-mart but it's so much better! The stores are always clean and the products tend to be of a much higher quality. Their clothing lines are well-known designers and you can buy some good up-to-the-minute fashions for cheap. They may not last forever, but neither will the trend. They also carry everything you need for any holiday. I especially love to go the day after and stock up at 50% off.

Publix just does it right! I shop at the same store once a week on average and it feels like i've been shopping there forever. The staff recognizes me and my son and always greets us (my son by name). They have a fantastic bakery where I buy pizza dough and my son gets a free cookie. The deli has Boar's Head meats which we love (and again, free samples for my son), the produce is fresh and reasonably priced, and the rest of the selection is high quality products at great prices.

I don't know what magical drug-like substance the Cinnabon people found and put in their cinnabons but MAN are they tasty! You just can't be happy with the Pilsbury tube after you try one. They're pricey but so rich and warm and gooey that you don't care. I hate spotting one at a mall or airport because the smell calls to me and I can't stop thinking about them until I'm eating one. Very highly recommended!

BabyGap is my kind of clothes for little boys. Yes, they do also carry cute girl's clothes but I have a boy and I am sick and tired of only finding t-shirts covered in bugs, trucks, or dinosaurs. Babygap does a great job helping me dress my child in khakis, polo shirts, sharp sweaters, etc. Sometimes the prices are a little high but they have great sales so I can buy for next year.

I am a Pottery Barn Kids' junkie! Thankfully the stuff is usually out of my price range so I can resist. However, when I can go to the outlet or find a good sale, watch-out! They have wonderful furniture (crazy expensive however), beautiful bedding, and wonderful toys. My son has a playroom that I always get compliments on and most of the decor is made up of PBK finds. Very good quality if you can get the price to match.
