Great America is located in gurnee, IL. You can always drop the kids off in the morning and go shopping at the outlet mall at Gurnee Mills. Now there is a water park that is included with generall amusement park. Bring some cash as there are many $1 games to play too for cool stuffed animals and other prizes. I love the rollercoasters here, especially Batman and Raging Bull.

There is also an area that contains fossils under sand, and exhibitors can dig for them. The Field Museum is located next to other museums in Chicago, and is next to Lake Michigan. That allows you to roam elsewhere after seeing the Field Museum.

Waveland Bowl is a decent place for bowling. There are several lanes to satisfy your bowling needs, there food and drinks to keep you full, and there's even cosmic bowl at night with all the lights and fog to distract you. I've only been to this place once, but if I were to be in that area in Chicago again, and bored out my my mind, I would consider Waveland Bowl again.

All of them are cooked Cantonese style, so expect MSG, ginger, and green onions. I recommend getting the chinese family dinners as those are the best bargains. there are a few rude waitresses there who give lousy service and might ignore your table so keep that in mind.

If you are looking for a restaurant that will serve out the dishes quickly then go to Ken Kee. Usually Ken Kee is my backup restaurant when the lines at Joy Yee are too long. The reason why i say Ken Kee is second is because it is smoky at times. Their food is pretty good nd their bo bo tea is great.

They are known for their huge portions and fruit and bubble tea. Expect long lines as it is a hot place to visit for all the high school and college aged students. The food is delicious.

The small portions satisfy most people but for those who are extra hungry try out their large for $2 more. It is easy to get a table for 4, but anything larger you might have to wait since there are few large tables.
