Dr. Sommer is a nice enough guy, but he often doesn't explain everything his paitents need to know. What is nice is that if you have any issues he is quick to refer you to a specialist within your HMO. Since many HMOs won't let you see specialists without a GP's recommendation this is very helpful.
It is difficult to get an appointment with Dr. Sommer (it is not uncommon for weeks or months of wait) and almost impossible to get an 'emergency'/sick appointment. He always seems to be running late and if you go you're best off making the first appointment of the day so that he isn't already behind schedule.

There is no question that Dr. Linfoot knows his stuff, and if you ask a question he will give you an educated, informed opinion. But often you don't get a chance to ask these questions because of his less than personable manner.
Making appointments is also difficult. My husband had to get a biopsy done. They cancelled the appointment on him and rescheduled it for a few MONTHS later! There is no such thing as a quick appointment with Dr. Linfoot.

Dr. Gardiner is so nice. He is like a friendly father who talks you carefully through your condition, options and treatment. Although he deals with a lot of cancer patients, he is able to tell it like it is and still alleviate your concerns to make you feel better about the whole thing.
Dr. Gardiner is also sensitive to the concerns of family members and makes it a priority to see them and deliver information as soon as possible after performing surgeries. He really goes out of his way to accomodate everyone and make them feel better (physically and emotionally).

I went here because they were a preferred choice for my insurance. I needed a basic cleaning and knew I ahd to get a crown. They did the cleaning and everything was fine. But they had to call my insurance and talk about what my cost options were for the crown. They promised toi get back to me within 2 weeks to schedule the appointment ater getting the cost info. Well 2 weeks passed and I didn't hear so I called them. My file had gotten misplaced and so they said they'd check into it again and call me.
After another month they still hadn't called me. When I called them again they professed not to know anything about this. They supposedly looked into it again but again never called. By this time I got fed up and went somewhere else. That was 2 years ago and I still haven't heard from this place, even to ask me if I want another general cleaning.

I like this office. The dentists are nice and the assistants are nice and they are understanding of people hwo don't *like* going to the dentist.
My big problem is that they always seem to be biling me out of money. They try to see you services and products that you don't really need (like sealants and expensive toothbrushes and braces. Worst of all, you can't bidget there. Everytime I went (and I went 3 or 4 times) I asked their financial person UP FRONT what costs were going to be involved with my visit and what was covered by my insurance. Sure enough, at EVERY visit (even just a basic cleaning) I was charged more than they had told me to expect up front, and they always claimed that they were 'surprised' that my insurance didn't cover it or that they 'hadn't anticipated' that extra treatment.
Frankly, I got sick of big bills coming up and left them.

Dr. Gail Dressler is a wonderful doctor. She is kind and understanding and she really listens to you when you have a problem. She takes time to address every issue you bring up with her in the examination room, whether it be something as simple as sleeplessness or as serious as finding an unidentified lump in your body.
Dr. Dressler is also great about giving you test results. She emails them to you (or sends them snail mail on request) so that you don't have to wonder how everything turned out. She's a great person who knows a lot and keeps you informed!

This is the hospital where I gave birth to my 2 children. Everyone here is so nice and the nurses go out of their way to make everything comfortable for you. The streamline the admittance process for pregnant women and allow you to tour the materiity area before you give birth.
Best of all, they offer in-rooming with your newborn so you do not have to be away from your new little one! Dad can stay too on a pull-out bed (although my hubby said these weren't too comfy). The food, although cafeteria style is decent and you get to make your own selections form a different menu every day.
I highly recommend this hospital for expectant mothers.

The doctors at Women's Health Specialists are wonderful. They understand what you as a woman are going through, especially when you are pregnant. They encourage and helo you when you are feeling emotionally stressed, and there is always a doctor on call to ask for advice, or to deliver your baby if you go into labor on a holiday or in the middle of the night.
Best of all, they encourage you to meet all of the doctors so in the case that you go into labor 'off hours' you will have met the person who is with you in the delivery room.
If you are pregnant (or trying to get pregnant) then this is a place you should check out!

This is a terrific place to go for children's health services in the Fremont area. There are 6 or 7 doctors in the practice and there is alwasy one on call or someone available to see your child if there is a sudden emergency. Every doctor has last minute 'sick child' appoinment slots a the beginning of the day for kids who get ill overnight and there is even a sick kids waiting room that is separate from the well kids waiting room. The doctors and nurses are comfortable with kids are completely understand if they (or you) are just having a bad day. I haven't met all of the doctors in this practice, but I have met 4 of them and so far they are all wonderful!

This is definitely the place to go with young , exhuberent kids. Happy Hollow is three things in one: a petting zoo, an amusement parks (complete with ancient kiddie rides) and a pincnio grounds (with lots of great playground structores). The only thing it is missing is a water park, but it is kep cool by the shade of hundreds of mature trees all over the property.
No matter what your kids like to do, there is something for them. There is something for you too if you are tired or if you are ready for action. I strgonly recommend an annual pass to htis place if tyou have small children.
