With Colorado Springs actually not having many good furniture stores for a city of its size I was pleased to visit this one. American Furniture Galleries is a nice upscale furniture store selling high quality brand names like Thomasville, Hooker etc. The lady who helped us was very friendly and knowledgeable about the brands and items. She was not at all pushy like some people who work for commission. I would definitely recommend people to visit this store while furniture shopping if you are looking for quality furniture, without the pushy sales person

I had been wanting to try this cute looking coffee shop for a long time so I was thrilled when I finally got the chance. Walking in to the cafe I though the decorations were very cute, it is decorated like a ski lodge. My excitement quickly faded when I waited in line for 10 minutes with only 2 other people ahead of me (ordering lattes) I have no idea why service was so slow but it was terrible, you could tell the people in front of me were even irritated. When i finally got to order I i ordered a Soy latte which was good but nothing special. I'm not sure I would return, but to be fair it may have been just an unlucky experience

Hearthstone Furniture Store is a wonderful store that carries many brand name furniture pieces. My husband and I came upon the store while looking for a dining room set. The customer service was excellent. The gentleman helping us answered all of our questions and knew what he was talking about. It was very apparent that he enjoyed what he was doing and was willing to help in anyway. Although we did not buy the day we visited I would go back in an instant if there was something I needed

I needed a place to have my 9 year old daughters birthday and was really excited when i found out the Bead Gallery had a room to throw parties. I signed up right away. The party turned out to be a hit. All the girls had a great time making their own bracelet and necklaces. The Bead Gallery provided everything except the cake (all the paper goods, drinks, a hostess etc) The price was right too. The cost per child was very fair especially considering that their party favors (the bracelet and necklace were included). The owner is very friendly and helpful. I definitely plan to go back for a lesson on how to make some of my own jewelry!

I took my 2 week old baby to Ashley Photography after seeing some of her work at a Kiosk in the mall. I am so glad I did!!!! The owner who is also the Photographer is amazing. She gave me all the time we needed for our appt. and knew exactly what to do to capture my vision. Her work will leave you amazed. When you go back for your second appt. to view the proofs she puts them up on the wall from her computer so you are able to see them well and she can show you different ways to enhance them. I was happy with every photo I bought and every penny spent was worth it. Check out her website. By the way, I took my daughter back again for her 6 month photos and was just as amazed by the photographers work

I found this recreation center because my son place soccer at the field on the weekends. The first time we saw the building and heard about the pool we couldn't wait to go! The aquatic center has a large indoor wave pool, water slide, lazy river and whirlpool. All the ingredients for hours of fun and cooling off in the hot weather. If your kids are a little older you can pay for just them then go sit on a bench up above the pool area and read a book while you wait for them. There are many lifeguards on duty so no need to worry. The center also offers many different swim lessons. Wednesday nights and Saturday nights are family nights were the price is lowered and also capped at a certain price after so many family members, an excellent value for larger families.

Being originally from Seattle my husband and I enjoy a good coffee or iced coffee drink so we decided to try It's a grind when we received a flier in the mail. My husband had a cup of coffee and I had a blended coffee drink. Both were good but not as good as our preferred Starbucks. The price may have been a tad lower but it still didn't compare. My drink was a little too sweet for my liking. Too be fair it may have been just what I ordered since my neighbor loves the place. But I figure why try again when I know I can get what i like for sure elsewhere.

I went to Toni and Guy because I was new to the area and was in desperate need for a haircut. The salon in located in the mall so it was very busy. It is an open salon so the noise level is quite high, not the place to go for a relaxing haircut away from the kids. My haircut turned out good not perfection but good. I found the service to be very friendly but not as personal as you get at some salons, I am sure this is due to its size and how busy it is. Personally for the price prefer a smaller more personal relaxing environment

My 3 children started attending The Davinci Academy in the fall of 2004, the opening year for the school. We have been very happy with the school and our children could not of excelled more.Of course the year started off with a few glitches, all of which would be expected with a new school. The staff and principal did an excellent job in trying to get everything running smoothly. Davinci focuses on arts and ideas, my husband and i were worried that there would not be enough focus on the core subjects (math, reading, etc) but this was not true. Everything was appropriately balanced, so the kids not only learned but had lots of fun with the arts. The only time I wouldn't recommend the school to someone is if their child has a hard time focusing, the classrooms are all open so this can be hard for some children. BTW all 3 of my children had excellent caring teachers who the kids and myself loved

This past spring I signed my 7 year old son up for developmental soccer through Pride Soccer and was very happy with it. The first Pro is the online registration, one less stop in this busy mom's life. The next wonderful thing is that the uniform is able to be used from season to season with out having to fork out more money for a new one. My son was also put on a team that he will continue to stay with from season to season (unless you desire otherwise) so that they can really develop friendships and team work. Overall our experience with Pride Soccer was a very good one, I would definitely recommend it.
