Friends of mine that have sworn they don't like Chinese food love the food at Chan's. Nice breast pieces of chicken, quality cuts of beef and pork sets Chan's apart immediately. Also, the food is always freshly prepared instead of cooked ahead of time. Prices are also comparable to most other Chinese restaurants.

Bella Italia has authentic Italian food at a reasonable price. The ambiance is perfect for a big group get together or an intimate dinner. Since opening it has been a popular destination on school dance nights. It was also popular for groups of coworkers or friends in large parties. The food is fresh and starts with bread served with olive oil. I can no longer eat Pasta Milano anywhere else because it just doesn't compare.

The Saint Louis Art Museum is dedicated to art in all of its forms. There are extensive exhibits on three floors, from PreColumbian Art to Asian to Medieval to Modern. There is also a section with furniture both modern and antique which includes period rooms including a favorite with suits of armor and weaponry. Besides displaying art, there are many classes, workshops, teacher resources and special events for all ages. Far outshines any other museum I have seen both in its collections and programs to make art accessible.

I have spent many summer evenings with a packed lunch in the free seats at the Muny. Many classic shows come through and it is always a great night out. There are a couple of pitfalls: it can get really hot and for the free seats you have to get there very early for a decent seat. There are many seats that you can buy tickets to; it's not a free for all. I applaud the Muny for giving children performers the chance to be seen, but could live without them in the performances. Overall a great experience.

Sure, you pay for parking and small fees for some attractions, but it is still way ahead of other zoos in staying an economical place for all to visit. And it is worth visiting with a large variety of animals and exhibits. There is also a Children's Zoo that is a must visit if you have small ones in tow (and that is also free if you go during the first hour the zoo is open). A lot of this low cost is offset by outrageous prices in food and drink inside the zoo. Most locals will bring a picnic lunch to eat in any of the areas in Forest Park.

Dr. Novick is on staff with the Shriner's Hospital of Tampa. We were referred due to an abnormality with my son's hand. She explained the condition, what kind of care to expect in the future and what things should be noted now and in the future. She is also very patient and seems to understand that for many people a visit to a specialist is something that does not happen often and can be daunting, but is not condescending.

I was amazed at the friendliness and how willing Dr. Kolligian was to accommodate my son and I. My pediatrician recommended that we see a urologist because of a complication with my sons circumcision. Dr. Kolligian had us come to the hospital so he could see my son between surgeries to ease both mine and my pediatricians concerns. He then provided the contact number to his office and explained when we should follow up and why he recommended that time frame. I would highly recommend him to anyone that needed a pediatric urologist.

A giant playhouse where kids learn and may not realize it. And of course a 3 story slide too. Other areas include an extensive Lewis and Clark exhibit, interactive displays (my daughter calls them "games") on various science concepts as physics, magnetism, etc, various rooms for pretend play, and a static ball where you can get your picture taken with your hair standing on end.

This is one of the things I miss most in Tampa. It is a large park with open grass areas and walking paths both out in the open and through shaded areas. Interspersed are striking large works of art. Many of them you can climb on or into which often adds another dimension to the art.

Everything from trains to helicopters in one place. The staff is very friendly and great with children. I would not recommend going during the summer because of the heat. There is very little shade except for the small railroad depot and it gets hard to enjoy the exhibits on hot days.
