Seattle Pacific University has a robust posting board that connects families looking for nannies with those offering their services. I don't know the URL but it probably is linked off of the SPU...

Last night marks the 4th occassion we have tried to go have a meal here in the last 4 months, to no avail. Several times we've called and been told that, despite not taking reservations and having exactly 4 chairs inside to wait for a table, their current wait time was AT LEAST 2 HOURS? Last night we showed up at 8:30, saw 2 people waiting for a table, and were told (contrary to a little sign posted outside indicating that 9:00 would be the next avail table) that it would be AT LEAST AN HOUR AND A HALF wait.
WTF?!
Unless they are serving crack-laced manna and 1-hour souffles at this joint, I don't understand how they can't figure out how to turn their 5 tables faster than 2+ hours each - especially after being in business for a year now in a little suburban neighborhood.
I just don't get it - maybe after I've lived in Wallingford another 5 years I'll someday get to taste their 2-hour-wait-worthy fare, but anyplace that can't figure out how to get a local in for a meal in less than 90 minutes on a freakin Wednesday may have earned my feared "lifetime ban" in favor of the many other delectable restaurants in jet city....

This place is legit - great service, great decor, great woodfired pizzas, and where else this tasty and classy has a $3.50 house red and white wine option for those of us who like a glass or two of chianti with our pizza but don't want to pay $8 a pop? Go late - it's packed before 10 any night, for good reason.

Blue Flame did a lot of work on our heating system - dismantled and removed the old retrofitted coal-to-oil furnace in our basement, recommended a good 90+ new furnace, installed it on time and with little hassle and got it all done when they said they would. This was the only residential service provider in 8 months of renovation work on our home who gave us an honest and direct estimate of goods and services cost, who told us when they would do the work and complete it, and actually delivered on both of these commitments. That is worth its weight in gold. They were professional, respectful, and showed up for the bid when they said they would (another rare occurrence in contract services). I recommended them to a friend, who used them for his heating system replacement, and he was equally complimentary of their work.

... and it's affordable, romantic, and everything on the menu is delicious. Try the Kumquat Crush cocktail - so tasty. This place is legit. Best vietnamese food we've had in Seattle (not just pho - all of it, the whole spectrum from clay pot fish to grilled pork satay skewers to cha ca noodle bowls) since we got back from vietnam, and it's very affordable. The designers of this place put a lot of thought into it too, it's attractive, comfortable, and service is great. Go - just go early, as they don't take reservations at night.

apparently, according to those who know, a great reliable and fair Saab mechanic. He's up north in ballard.

I've never been in, but they are on my way home from the Whole Foods and by the looks of their sign, they are the local foam mattress specialists. Good luck.

David Loshin is the best - I've been to a lot of dentists through the years, and this guy rocks. Plus his staff and dental hygenists are all great. Couldn't recommend a professional service provider...
