Awesome food, laid back hip, worth all the local press

Everything on Lark's menu is absolutely delicious, fairly expensive (but not Canlis-ridiculously expensive), and it's hip but not in the Crush "we're so design conscious that it's uncomfortable to sit everywhere" kind of way but instead in a stark-but-refined kind of way. And the tall ceilings, exposed wood, and big curtains (like Zoe, but with more wood on the floors and ceilings) look sufficiently cosmopolitan but still distinctly Northwest, so your NYC friend will be reminded more of a Gramercy park boite than a stereotypically west-coast vegan co-op.
If the wild boar is still on the menu, order 2 and package up one to go for me.
You'll get out of there for under $40 p/p if you don't order 4 cosmos. Make a reservation - the waits can be brutal on the weekend.
