I ate at Huatulco while visiting my family. The food tended toward the Tex-Mex variety, was plentiful and reasonably spiced and priced. While I have heard that the service can be spotty, our server was attentive and food was delivered promptly. For those who enjoy a Tecate or Pacifico, you will not find it here. Fayette County and city are "dry".

This is a most unusual wine shop for Seattle or elsewhere. First, not many wine shops or tasting rooms have you greeted with a dog. Stanley is an aged yet still engaging and gently playful Golden Retriever who makes quick friends of all dog lovers and some who are not.
Jen is extraordinarily knowledgeable about Washington State wines from "small quantity" "high-quality" wineries. The fact that you can go in and taste before you buy is a definite benefit. Expect the wines to have a great deal of personality. As such, a few I did not particularly like, but most were really superb finds. Jen's knowledge of wines is only exceeded by her memory and engaging personality. I live in Florida but go by the Tasting Room almost every time I am in Seattle. Jen always remembers me, my partner (Karen) and trips that I was scheduled to take several months previously. Her easy manner makes the tasting experience a delight.
Occasionally a business decides to do things a bit differently and the right combination of people, product and atmosphere come together. The Tasting Room is one such place.
If you even like wine, the Tasting Room is an experience that I think you will find memorable. If you really enjoy wine and are in Seattle, a visit is a "must".

Admittedly, there are more limited offerings that at Orlando based malls and stores tend to come and go frequently. However, I was in the mall on Sunday and there was not a sense of combat shopping. Clerks in each of three stores I visited were friendly and helpful. In the vernacular... "if they have what you need, it's a good place to get it".

Toscana http://www.toscanaatavalonpark.com/ is a very pleasant environment, with attentive and knowledgeable wait staff and good food. In fact, their calamari is the best I have had. Unlike most calamari "rings", Toscana's is thinly slivered and served with wonderful sauces. The balance of the menu runs toward Northern Italian thematic entries. A modest but nice and reasonably priced wine list makes for a pleasurable dining experience.

Susan and Butch run this nicely equipped kitchen store in the Suntree shopping center (just a few doors down from Publix). I have bought everything from high quality knives to a ceiling rack for pots and pans from them. Both Susan and Butch are not only knowledgeable, but also have used most of the things in their store themselves. If not, they will tell you. Occasionally I have something I need that they don't have, but that is certainly the exception. In general, a neat and interesting shop run by equally interesting people.

The Rendezvous has been included in John Grisham's books, song lyrics and generally has a world-wide reputation. The food is good. Bu there are good rib places throughout the South. For example, Dreamland in Tuscaloosa (and now Birmingham and Huntsville, Alabama) have good ribs. The ribs at the Rendezvous are dry rubbed and come with a couple of sauces on the side. One is spicy and the other tends toward the sweet.
Wait staff were attentive and the ribs came very promptly. The beer is cold and the wine limited.
The decor is.....odd. You enter from an alley and go down into the restaurant.
On the whole, a respectable barbecue place in a city of barbecue places.

As might be surmised from the name (Cafe Margaux) the food tends to run a bit toward France (country) and there is a substantial wine list. The atmosphere is also that of a bistro. Wait staff are pleasant and knowledgeable. Portions are large and sharable. At lunch the soup, salad and sandwich plate is often very good. Not the cheapest place in Cocoa to eat, but one of the best.

MLB is a quiet airport that is usually a breeze when it comes to check in and security. However, Delta is the only major carrier that flies in and out of Melbourne. Thus, unless you want to go through Atlanta or to JFK (Dulles is on again, off again), MLB might not be for you.
MLB is about an hour drive from Orlando International Airport and is the closest airport to the Port Canaveral cruise ships.

Michael and lovely wife owned and ran an Italian Restaurant (Michael's on Colonial Drive) for many years. He and son Dominique have now opened a small wine and spirit shop in Avalon Park. They have a good variety of wines under $10 to those well over $100. He has some particularly nice Amarone's and other Italian wines. He carries Oregon and California Pinots and a good selection of U.S. cabernets and merlots.
The entire family is very friendly. I was in last night and they found out that today was my birthday. Michael gave me a bottle of wine. They are THAT type of people.
