My friends and I went here to go clubbing one night. The place is a very posh club with different themes each night. The night we went was called Sin City. When you first enter, there is a lounge place with comfortable couches and tables to sit and chill and meet other people that is separate from the dance floor. After passing through the lounge, there is the bar and other tables and stools. Everything is very modern looking. The dance floor isn't too big, but the place wasn't too crowded that night, so it didn't really matter. There are also platforms, which if you have the courage to get up on, you can dance for everybody to see. I didn't try the bar because I wasn't 21, so I can't exactly review that. The music was pretty good to dance to--a lot of mixed beats, and I don't recall one song that we weren't able to dance to. The place is very hip and cool, definitely a club to check out if you're in the Lansing area!

"Being Asian", or whatever, one of the first things that happens when a new Chinese restaurant opens up is to check it out and spread the word of how the place is to rest of our fellow community.
So when Oodles of Noodles opened up a couple of years ago, of course our family had to check it out.
This review is going to focus more on the buffet aspect of the restaurant. Before even walking into the restaurant, the smell of delicious food hits you. After walking in, we are seated in the middle of the place. Despite how it looks, the place actually has a lot of seating available in different areas.
The decor of the place consists of a waterfall in Aztec fashion and green and yellow stripes. It looks kind of tacky, but I guess this was some jungle adventure restaurant before the present owner bought it. They must've felt lazy about redecorating the place.
The variety of food they have there is staggering. They have about four rows just full of of food. There's the traditional foods such as General Tsao's chicken, sesame chicken, stiry fry mixes of seafood, chicken and broccoli, etc. Then there is also the more American foods such as pizza, fries, chicken wings, etc. Stables for the people who like to stick to the good old usuals and/or are afraid of trying something new. What is even more delightful is how they actually have the more authentic foods such as red bean buns and dumplings. Food that's not usually found in some restaurants. The dessert bar of the buffet is kind of disappointing. They really don't have anything except for fruits, frozen yogurt, and jello and weird pastry dishes. However, the main meal more than makes up for this. I doubt it, with it being a buffet and all, that there is much room for dessert anyway. Besides, there's always the fortune cookie to look forward to.
The price range of the buffet depends on whether you go during lunch or dinner. Friday is usually seafood night, and i believe a little more expensive. I think lunch is around 7 or 8 bucks. I'm not totally sure seeing how my parents paid for it... Dinner is more expensive, costing over 10 bucks. Don't quote me on the prices though. I'm probably wrong, but I do believe that's the range.

A couple of friends and I decided to go here one time after an exam. Before, I had never had Thai food before so I was kind of excited about going here and tyring it out. Note: If you have never had Thai food before, this is the perfect place to have your first experience.
We went during lunch time and once inside, we were seated immediately. The place is kind of tiny, but there's enough tables for a decent amount of people and the atmosphere was very cozy and relaxing.
The menu prices range from about 5 to 6 dollars a dish. I got Pad Thai, and it was delicious. Also, each of the dishes are accompanied by soup and a roll. Contrary to popular belief, not all of Thai food is exceedingly spicy. Mine wasn't. I've only had one experience here, but I definitely need to come back here for more.

Hungry for some dinner, my companion and I ventured into East Lansing to see what they had to offer. We finally decided that we were in the mood for Indian food after walking by the restaurant. We were seated right in the middle of a rather empty restaurant. The place is rather spacious with many tables, however, it felt a little too open/exposed; it was hard to feel intimate, and the entire dinner was one long awkward moment...
As for the food, I ordered a chicken that was prepared tandoor style and in a hot, zesty tomato sauce. I also ordered some naan, which I guess at best is described as a warm, baked pita, to go along with the meal. The food was hot, both in spiciness and heat-wise, and delicious. The combination of rice, chicken, and naan were quite satisfying. I think the price of my dinner was $10, take or add a few. I think my only complaint would have to be the atmosphere and maybe the size portions. I have been to other restaurants where they have been a little more generous for generally around the same prices.

So if you're into thrift shopping and around the East Lansing area, check out Scavenger Hunt only if you have the time. As thrift shopping goes, this place is kind of small and not exactly cheap. The selections aren't very much and look too much like regular clothes that can be bought at the mall to reallly be worth buying secondhand. However, I'm not saying that all the clothes you find there are ordinary. They actually have some pretty zany stuff that might be interesting. Take a look at their dresses, which vary from decade to decade, or their buttons that are often used to decorate bags. They have some really interesting glasses, which seem to be all the rage these days. The place also has many cool stocking--neon colored fishnets and whatnot. The price is around 2 for $20 (I got some from my friend). The guy who runs the place is pretty cool and friendly. So enjoy looking around.
