I went to Riva the other day for a late lunch. My boyfriend and I were seated right away and the servers were very attentive, and I mean ALL the servers... not just the one that was assigned to our table. The view is amazing, and it's a nice casual place that isn't too expensive.
The calamari here was good, though the pieces are a little too big for my taste. I ordered the fish and chips which was excellent and huge! There were 3 pieces of fish and I could only manage 1 piece. The fries were nice and crispy.
Be forewarned though... the fried food is FRIED, so if you don't like really greasy food, order something else off of the menu.

Our waiters were always quick, friendly, and professional. The restaurant is pretty dark, but I never mind.

Great food and service! I went to a friend's wedding and tried their famous chicken dish... so delicious! I was so impressed with everything that I just had to ask one of the staff for a business...

They were the photographers at my friend's wedding and I just had to write a review about it. When my friend sent me the link to view her pictures I was amazed! There were hundreds and hundreds of photos of absolutely every candid moment. In addition to the bride and groom, they got a lot of great shots of the guests (including one of me and my boyfriend that I am definitely getting a copy of), which a lot of photographers don't pay that much attention to.

The service was fast and friendly and the ambiance is great. I had the kobe beef which was fantastic, and the mac n cheese with truffles is the best I've ever had. The cotton candy for dessert was a nice touch too.

I used to go to Sushi Tomo every week when I worked nearby because the bento box was a great deal. The food is good, but not great.
The service is severely lacking. There was one day that aside from the waitress giving my friend something she definitely didn't order (she was given sushi and she was very obviously pregnant!), our water wasn't refilled once, and we were waiting so long to get our bill that we finally had to ask for it at the front. I got chased out the door by what I think was the manager asking why I gave such a low tip. I felt like I was being accosted! Aren't tips supposed to be discretionary? I'm normally a very generous tipper, but I'm not going to give someone something for nothing. I explained to him about the lack of service, but that was embarrassing! Ever since then I haven't gone back.

I can't get enough of the chicken salad here, and the sweet and sour pork, and although I don't personally like prawns that much, my friends have gotten into fights over the honey walnut prawns, so I guess they're good =)
They have a nice bar at Tao Tao's too. The Mai Tais are a favorite.

I love this place. It's kept immaculately clean and the staff is super friendly and knowledgable... especially Sharon. I tend to go there before I go on vacation someplace sunny, so I won't burn.
