There are many great seafood restaurants with beautiful views (and if you want to stay on the city side of the bay, I agree with the review on Ray's Boathouse) but I think the Seattle skyline view...
There are many great seafood restaurants with beautiful views (and if you want to stay on the city side of the bay, I agree with the review on Ray's Boathouse) but I think the Seattle skyline view from Salty's is absolutely fabulous, especially at night.
And there's not only a view. The food is great to boot and every time I've been there the service has been right on.
P.S. If you're ever looking for a seafood brunch, I've not yet found any seafood restaurant that could beat the buffet at Salty's. It's *awesome*!

I've only been here once and if you can get past the smoke (deep fat frying and nicotine hits) these wings are pretty good. The business is in a converted garage and their goals are wings + a good time. That said, chicken wings kind of freak me out, so I'm definitely *not* a connoisseur, but you should at least give them a try.

This store also has a plethora of wonderful CDs and lots of musical instruments for kids.
The books are for both kids, young adults and adults and there is a very nice selection.
Once again, this isn't your typical mall toy store and is definitely worth a stop.

As for the clinic itself, the staff is very welcoming, I've always been able to get an appointment when needed and I've never been kept long in the waiting room.

Rising sun is a great little market in the Ravenna neighborhood, just east of Roosevelt and north of University Village. Their produce is organic and always tastes great. It also has nuts and a few other items as well.
It's a super alternative to the grocery when shopping for fresh fruits and vegetables and you don't have to fight the crowds of Pike Place Market.

This toy store, just east of University Village, is jam packed with great toys for kids. They have extensive wooden train systems, great toys for baby, lots of coloring and activity books & cool puzzles and cute stuffed animals. One example; I was looking for simple, large pictured coloring books for my 3 year olds and it was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Pinocchio pulled through and at only $2 per coloring book!
The selection isn't your run of the mill Toys R Us stuff (although Toys R Us does have its place) and is worth a stop.

Up front, this shop is NOT fancy and it seems that the employees do not go outside to take their smoke breaks. That said, we had a chair recovered and it looks absolutely fabulous! (You can always buy Fabreeze if need be.) The cost, labor + fabric, was at least 1/2 the price of estimates I received from several other places. The fabric selection is pretty extensive and I felt the work was completed in a timely manner.
I don't know that I would take a family heirloom here, but if you've got something that needs a quick facelift and don't feel like spending an arm and a leg to do it, I recommend these guys.

Anthropologie has beautiful women's clothing but there's a reason I put this post in the home and garden category. This store has WONDERFUL items for the home, from candles to hooks, light switch plates to kitchen ware. It also carries very unique gifts, fun books and even goodies for baby.
I can shop here for hours! (Well, I can shop in Bartell for hours, but Anthropologie is much more exciting.)
