(I'm full of pie and baked goods information, aren't I? No wonder I've had to take up running!)

We didn't actually use this co. but they did work on a yard a few blocks down the street from us and it looks spectacular. Part of the yard is on a huge slope and it was Weedville USA. They cleared out the brush, made a nice rock retaining wall and planted some bushes & flowers. Man does it ever look nice!
Sorry I can't speak on any particulars, such cost or customer service. My kids & I were walking by and we stopped to watch the workers. The owner of the co., who was very friendly, was onsite and she gave me her card, so that's how I got the name.

The food is great too. Nothing fancy, just good, filling food. If you're in the neighborhood, give this lively place a try - you won't be sorry!

$1 stores are full to the brim with items you "need" and items you "want". A sampling of things I buy here: holiday/party paper plates, napkins, etc., (for entertaining and just for fun - the kids love them), zip-lock bags, plastic food containers, (great for taking to parties - who cares if you leave them), toys, (cheap but great when you need something basic), stickers, art supplies, play-doh, wrapping paper & ribbon, cheap gifts, (picture frames, knick-knacks, etc.)
They have food too and I've only purchased snack items but I suppose most of it would be o.k. (thanks to the over processed, long shelf life world we live in) although I would recommend checking the expiration date.
If you decide to make the Dollar Tree your main shopping location (and I guess I'm kidding here) be sure to compare prices. Some things, foil paper, for example, are cheaper at Target.
The Dollar Tree carries more name brand items than other $1 stores I've been in and this location happens to be right by my gym, so it's one of my favorites.
NOTE: The word "cheap" has been used several times in this review and there's no sense in denying it, some of the things are cheap but hey, for a dollar, can you really go wrong!

I don't know if it has what you're looking for but it is full of ethnic food choices. Even if your item is missing, it's a great store to wander around in!

I'm tired just from writing it all! Remlinger Farms is definitely a full day activity. The place is generously decorated for fall/Halloween and there are so many fun things to do. There is a restaurant, ice cream shop and market as well. It's a really fun place to go and if you have the time, you should check it out. (Oh, and they do have a pumpkin patch as well. Ha Ha!)
If you're looking for something a little more toned down, check out my review on Carleton Farms. It's a super pumpkin patch without all the bells and whistles of Remlinger Farms.

I did a review on this co. before but they are worth mentioning here. Most of my family/friends are in the midwest so I like to send them a holiday piece of the Pacific Northwest. The wreaths from this place are amazing, long lasting and everyone LOVES them. The prices are right too.
Funny story relating to their life span: My folks had theirs on their porch until late Feb. when my dad said, "Finally. That wreath is starting to turn brown." After further investigation, the wreath wasn't turning brown; a bird had made a nest in it! Nonetheless, when the flowers started to bloom, they took the wreath down and thus ended Christmas.

From Noon - 1 p.m., Seattle Gymnastics has an open gym where kids, along with their parents or another adult, can play and utilize all the equipment in the gym. There are students of the academy there to assist and help watch the little balls of fire too.
There are foam pits, trampolines, balance beams (at all heights), parallel bars, swinging ropes, climbing walls and mats galore.
It is heaven for me because my 4 yr. olds run and play like there is no tomorrow AND there is a time limit. None of that "I don't want to go home! I want to stay!" business that I get at the park. "Sorry kids. They're closing. Load em' up!"
If the time frame works for you, I strongly recommend you drop in sometime. It's $6 ($4 if you are enrolled in classes) and you get a time or two free if you buy a punch card.
Good luck!

My daughter started creative dance this past summer and we got her leotard and tights at Creative Fashions. The sales person was very helpful in finding us the correct items that we needed and was very patient while I, and my two 4 yr. olds "browsed" the store and looked at all the fun dancing accessories.
