High price to pay for a meal.

My husband and I went to Ruth's Chris in Bellevue after his mother recommended it. (I guess this should have been my first clue, but I digress.)
Because we had a newborn at the time, our reservation was for earlier in the evening, so the dining room was relatively empty. We were seated directly outside the kitchen doors. After asking to be moved, we were kindly taken to another table near a window.
While the decor was fine, the view out the window of the downtown Bellevue Bartell Drugs left a little to be desired, but again, I digress.
The cocktail I ordered (dirty martini) was excellent. Our waiter, again, excellent.
The food - we both ordered steaks - was quite good and cooked to our satisfaction. The sides, which do not come with your meal and cost extra, were nothing to write home about. We also had coffee and dessert, which were both fine as well.
My problem with Ruth's Chris is that they honestly charge out the wazoo for something you can get at a better price at dozens and dozens of other restaurants. We knew it would be expensive, but I suppose we were expecting a whole lot more for the money.
