Would Give Zero Stars if I Could

I had a semi-emergency repair that needed to be made on my sink and the water main. Stupidly, I called Bonfe's. Like all the other plumbers in town, Bonfe's charges a $60 fee just to come out and look at your problem. The Bonfe's "plumber" (more like "scam artist") came out and estimated the work at $900. Since a relative had made the repair sound like impending doom if I didn't have it fixed immediately (I found out later it wasn't)--I told the plumber to do the work. He seemed shocked that I actually wanted to have the work done-instead of just forking over the $60 for the 5 minute visit.
I was soon to learn why he was so amazed. It took him 45 minutes and $5 in parts to complete the entire job. The second part of the Bonfe's scam (after the $60 housecall) is to price work out by the job instead of by the hour-so if you are inexperienced enough to actually let them go ahead with the work-they are covered by the "per project" rate.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this company. I have had MUCH better success with other repair places around town.
