I eat here occasionally for lunch, and they have good sandwiches that are just a bit out of the ordinary. The tomato bisque is excellent. The decor is really, really cheezy (a tired and tacky barn theme), but just get your sandwich to go and head back to the office. They also have decent salads as well as hot entrees.

In an area with high-end and cool restaurants, it's nice to have a typical neighborhood hangout where you can grab a beer and the game. B&N has a nice selection of beers on tap plus a small wine list and a small bar. It's definitely mainly a beer place. The food is typical bar fare with sandwiches and appetizers. You can get a good domestic beer for $3 on a weeknight. A good place to meet your friends for an after-work drink.

I suppose if I was more into French cuisine this place would hold more fascination for me. The staff is great, the location is great, and it's a quaint little place. The menu is interesting in that they do the traditional meals, or you can do a 3, 4, or 5+ course chef's tasting menu where you can sort of build-your-own from an array of dishes. You can also do wine pairings with the tastes menu, which is cool. For all of this wonderful tastiness, you'll pay dearly. Prices are fairly standard for an up-scale Bay Area restaurant, but I just wasn't enamored with the food.

I played the county amateur here last fall and I have to say that the course is just ridiculous. There are multiple holes where there is "in course OB" which is a violation of USGA rules. It just seems that they're looking to penalize players unnecessarily. The course is tough enough as it is without stupid tricks like that.
The driving range is all worn-out mats on a dry hillside where distances are meaningless.
Avoid this place and spend your money elsewhere.
