If you like Italian food you have to try Celestino's. They make fresh pastas and fresh fishes daily and the service there is really impeccable. When I went I had the pear tart which was the dessert of the day, I must say that it was divine. I usually need chocolate in my dessert but this was absolutely great. If you go and they have it there, you must get it!

A staple of third street promenade in santa monica, this place is pretty happening for happy hour. the food is standard american but here you can also find tv's playing all kinds of sports shows and you can also shoot pool with your friends after you eat. it's a place where you would go with a group of people though not just if there's two of you.

If you are looking for a sushi place I would recommend many others before coming to this one for dinner. The ambiance is nice though for celebrations but the portions are really small. They do have a great lunch special so if you can get here for lunch, I recommend it, otherwise, if you just want good sushi, i think this place is overpriced.

korean fast food in a take out box? gushi is bang for its buck. for the price you get a lot of food and it's pretty good. of course it's only a little outdoor shack so don't expect the same as if you were sitting in a korean restaurant but their bulgolgi isn't bad and neither are their glass noodles. the food is a little bit heavy and oily though so it's not the healthiest of places but it's good.

Go on a friday nite and you will expect a wait. i think they are famous for their mojitos. The food is not that expensive but it's not that great. I have had better food elsewhere. Also, it's a little loud for a first date. I would opt for a place that's a little more quiet.

This place reminds me of Hide Sushi on sawtelle (but this place takes credit card transactions) we sat at the sushi bar and the food came fast and our chef was nice. you can tell there are lots of repeat customers as they are all talking to the chef like old friends. great sushi! highly recommend it.
