I love bakeries. I'm the kind of girl that could skip dinner and go straight to dessert. I heard about Boule first through my friend and the box was so pretty that I had to go try it for myself....
I love bakeries. I'm the kind of girl that could skip dinner and go straight to dessert. I heard about Boule first through my friend and the box was so pretty that I had to go try it for myself. Boule is actually a chocolate/dessert shop located in West Hollywood. Very inconspicous location, right next to trashy lingerie (yes, that's the name of a store). Boule is a beautiful store and sort of out of place in that location. It looks more like a jewelry store than a chocolate store. Althogh I loved how the place looked, the desserts sounded better than they tasted and expect to pay high prices for small pieces of chocolates =) I'm forever on the quest for the perfect dessert place, that is if I don't open one first!

Traditional chinese restaurant that you would want to bring a group of people to hae dinner. Typical Lazy Susan and bowls of rice. I recommend the X.O. scallops and the spicy salt crab. Also good is the jellyfish cold platter. Jellyfish is chewy, sweet and cold. The non-seafood items are also good.

This is a ucla favorite as they make a great rotisserie chicken and awesome wraps. My favorite is the oriental chicken wrap. The food is made to order so it's really fresh. If you go with a group, get the whole chicken and the sides, it's a great deal. All of their entrees also come with a side order and I love the roasted potatoes.

I come to this place all the time and it's a very popular pasadena favorite. expect to see lots of suits and/or ties as it's a favorite among the local business people for lunch. their food is really excellent. i highly recommend the corn bread that comes on a skillet and they have these great barbecue potato chips at the bar.
