Bobby Salazar's has managed to create a menu of attractive and appetizing items which lack any nuance of appealing flavor or imagination. Not being a hispanic myself, I can, with total honesty, tell you that I am more capable of creating fresh, flavorful and imaginative hispanic dishes. Mexican food is not bland tortillas filled with limp vegetables, flavorless beans, flavorless and oversalted rice and excessive quantities of cheese. The popularity of this chain of local restaurants is utterly amazing to me. You would be eating higher quality more flavorful mexican food by opening your own can of refried beans and fililng your own store bought tortillas with ingredients, I assure you.
