The Hilltop Grille opened around the time I moved to Athens in 2002. After that time I heard several people rant and rave about the place so finally, in November of 2004, I gave the place a shot. I ordered the Pan Seared Crab Cake, being a huge seafood lover. It was mediocre at best (though I have a very picky taste in seafood, being from Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay.) The ambiance of the place was very warm and relaxing with dark wood furniture and lots of Athens paraphernalia. They also have a wide selection of wines and beers.
