Inventor of the French Dip this historical landmark in China Town still serves up a fine sandwich along with tasty beet eggs and the spiciest mustard around (not for the faint of heart or sinuses). Any visitor to L.A. must stop in and grab some tasty grub served from the counter to you in the huge saw dust scattered dining area. Even if you don't think you like the idea of a sandwich dipped in au jus try it and I am sure you will be converted.
