I can very highly recommend the Orleans Hotel & Casino (located on Tropicana a mile off the strip, but with a strip view) as a kid friendly accommodation in Las Vegas.
The top floor has a full movie theater, arcade, bowling alley, and one of those big things kids play in with ball pits, nets, tubes to climb in, etc. The casino itself has a gorgeous pool, decent restaurants, and the gambling is affordable there too.
Every room is a suite, and the prices are very reasonable. I would *definitely* recommend it. It’s just about the only place I’ll stay in Vegas once I had kids. Hope that helps!!!

A good recommendation for a kid friendly place in Laughlin, NV (just 75 miles from Vegas) is the Riverside hotel.
It’s definitely not the fanciest hotel there but it’s clean, affordable and awesome for those of us with kids. They have this place called the Kids Kastle. It’s supervised childcare for toddlers on up to 12 year olds (the little ones have a separate area to play in). It’s a huge facility with video games, movies, free play areas etc. We were there last weekend and my son (age 7) had a blast. For $6.50 an hour you can leave your kids with very well trained staff while you get a little *gambling* time in.
I really like the fact that they have daily maximums so that parents can’t just drop their kids off for the entire day and forget about them.

My neighbour and some friends used to go to Eli's Mile High Club in Oakland back in the 80s. They used to have a great house band, Beverly Stovall, and all the headliners. It wasn't exactly the best neighborhood in those days, but back then they were the only blues place in the bay area. They don't know what it's like now since they all moved out of that area many years ago, but they do have a website (http://www.oaklandmilehigh.com/index.shtml) so hopefully they're still rocking and rolling.

Even though I used to go to Thepthai more often because of the lunch buffet option, there is no denying that House of Fiam is far more superior when it comes to taste and ambiance in Thai food.
They have 2 branches close to each other. This particular branch offers both modern and traditional seating..The moment you enter, it feels like you have entered Thailand. There is soft Thai music in the background which is very soothing...
The food is superb and overall its a nice dining experience...

Ambiance - very nice ambiance and the outdoor patio is wonderful, even for those cool nights its perfect. Listening to the live music feels just great. The noise level can be deafening for some, but for Gordon Biersch’s habitués, that’s part of the attraction.
Food - Food here is simple and good. Portions are often too large to one. That makes it hard to drink more beer.
Service - It doesn't matter whether i'm sitting outside or inside, the service is always great.
Beer - the beer is always refreshing especially when sitting outdoors. The beers here are great, especially the seasonal brews.
They have other branches too, but i have only been to the san jose branch.

A very busy place, especially when there is an event going on at the San Jose Arena. This cafe and brewery is very upbeat and a pleasant place to have a nice dinner or snack! I' Lots of people come here before the Sharks game for a warm up....I like the big screen tv and the overall feel of the place,
The atmosphere is somewhat yuppy-ish with a nice bar area and very spacious dining. There is seating outdoors in front and a beer patio in the back. TV screens all around and mainly Tied House paraphenalia around the bar.
Nice wood bar and dining areas with some wooden booths. Spacious windows separate the brewing room and the ceilings are high.
The service is good the food is above average. There beer which is brewed right there is average to above average. They have plenty of their own beers on tap which are average to above average. Personally i like the beers in Gorden Biersch better, but overall this is a nice place too.

We had a AMAZINGLY rotten experience at the Venetian. The water went out for a day and a night, and the hotel was just ridiculously unhelpful. ("Fancy bottled water is available in our gift shop for $3.00 a liter, sir.") No shower, no toilet, and no sympathy from anybody who might have been able to help. Never again, ever.
****************
Make your own decision.

Thep thai used to be my favorite Thai place when I worked in San Jose downtown. It is not the best thai food that there is in bay area. But what i like the best about this place is that they have a buffet option for lunch. The buffet variety is decent and the price is great. i love the bbq pork that they usually serve in buffet.
Even if you don't go for the buffet, the food is pretty good. They also have a full service bar.
You will find pleanty of parking on Market street but if you don't they validate parking for the neighboring garage.

We used All Reasons Moving last august for my friend’s move and were very happy with the experience.
They came on time. They were extremely friendly, fast and caring with our possessions. They were referred to me by another a friend of mine. Also since my friend paid in cash, they gave him 10% off.

www.hilltopautoservice.com is one of the best Honda repair shops in the bay area. Very honest owner (Don Lam), very reasonable prices, and good work (if you don’t need the service or repair, Don will tell you).
From what i know, Don was a former Honda trained & certified mechanic that worked for Bay Area Honda/Acura dealerships for years until he left to start his own shop a few years ago.
