Old, but still doing OK

Friday, August 12, 2005
We saw Sondheim's A Little Night Music here earlier this year. I had been to the Dorothy Chandler years ago, but this was my first time in a while. We had cheap seats up top and, my goodness, they are steep! I felt like if I were not very careful I would fall out of the balcony and take out a couple of the fat cats below. Yikes! If you bring your camera, you'll have to check it downstairs. They have soft drinks and wine at a small stand on the side of the lobby. Otherwise, there is a lively scene outside before the show as people dine in the courtyard at the restaurant. It is not a good place to bring a picnic, so eat beforehand or make reservations.
