I've been to the Morikami a few times, the most recent was last month for the "Sushi Stroll." I don't know the regular hours for the museum but we were there from about 6pm to about 9pm. Apparently the museum restaurant closed at 8:30pm (which we didn't know), so we missed the sushi dinner.
Aside from that, we had a great time walking through the gardens--this time we rented the audio guides which was nice. We also took a lot of photos--the bridges, waterfalls, architecture--you can't help it.
