Kuk Sool Won teaches Korean martial arts from age 6 and up. The head of the school is from England and is a really nice guy. There are no contracts to sign. While I am not sure if it is expensive compared to other schools I do not think that it is cheap (about 85 dollars per month). My daughter has been there for a while and really enjoys it. They have a pot luck dinner at the Dojo every year in the springtime and all of the people I have met through the school have been really nice.

Kingwood Barber Shop gets crowded. I was there on a Saturday to get my son's hair cut. The place was packed. The wait was not too long considering how crowded it was. A woman cut my son's hair and she did a great job, expecially considering my son was not even 2 years old. My only objection is that the haircut was 12 or 13 dollars. It did not even take 15 minutes. I would have thought that since he was so young they would have charged much less.

Kingwood Shoe Hospital is the place to go if you want your shoes repaired. I brought in dress shoes to have them resoled and they did not glue on a new sole, but rather did it right by stitching on a brand new sole. In addition, it was done at a very reasonable rate. The work was completed within a week. I noticed a lot of boots when I was there so I am sure that they are well known with the so-called cowboys in town.

Hakky Shoe Repair does a great job mending shoes at reasonable prices. I am not sure if I dealt with Mr. Hakky when I was there, but whomever I dealt with was very professional. I did not even have to drop off my shoes as they worked on them right there. In addition, I have brought in shoes to have taps put on them and they did them right at that moment.

Tea Thyme is a small place offering tea, tea related products and sandwiches. The sandwiches are very good, albeit a little expensive. The atmosphere is pleasant. Dress is casual. Expect to see a lot of Kingwood women that I would refer to as Kingwood Debutantes. I would not consider it to be kid friendly but that does not mean that kids are not welcome. I just do not think the fare is appropriate. The salads are great and of course so is the tea.

In addition, the casual atmosphere is very kid friendly. The kid's menu is great and includes items that all kids love. The fajitas are good, but not great. Combination platters offer the best bargains and are quite tasty.

Fu Lee has some solid food but it is more noted for the buffet. It is inexpensive and very kid friendly. It has never really been crowded when I have been there, but that is no indication of the quality. The location is not good for the restaurant but it works to the benefit of the consumers. The food is fresh. The staff is attentive. Again, for the money this is a very great bargain for some quality food.

Mencius Gourmet Hunan is probably the best chinese food in Kingwood. The atmosphere is dress casual. The food is superb. It is hard to find good hunan style chinese food here in Texas. Mencius certainly satisfies. The prices are a little higher than most chinese restaurants, but then this is quality chinese food. It is a family restuarant but probably not as kid friendly as others.

The portions are fairly big and the atmosphere is very casual. They have a large screen television that usually has some sports game on. The company lists on Restaurants.com which allows you to buy coupons. That provides some incredible bargains.

Let us say that you are not a basketball fan. Let us say that you hate basketball, despise it in fact. Well, watching the Houston Rockets in the Toyota Center will change all that. The new stadium is out of this world. There is not a bad seat in the house and the facility is unlike any other in the country. This new stadium will be the model for future stadiums. Tickets are very expensive but if you want a great deal, go to the restaurant inside the stadium (you do not need tickets to get in) and not only do you get a 5-star buffet, but you get to watch the game as well. Reservations will be needed.
