The Sam Houston hotel is a boutique hotel that has been completely renovated. The suites are unbelievable and contain plasma televisions is the room. The hotel houses one of the best restaurants in the city, 17. The food is marvelous. In addition, the hotel also has one of the best bars inside. The rooms are really nice but not cheap. Well worth splurging.

The Del Mar Race Tracks has to be one of the nicest tracks in the country. The track is a grass track. The surrounding area is manicured to a T. The only major problem with the track is the fact that racing really only occurs from Memorial Day until Labor Day. It seems like such a waste. The race track is used for the Del Mar fair, which is a great fair to take the family. With plenty of parking and great grandstands, this is the place to be during the summer.

Phoenix and Scottsdale have tons of unbelievable hotels and resorts. The Ritz Carlton Phoenix has to be among them. While I typically find these hotels to be a little ornate, the service one receives when staying at the hotel is unsurpassable. The beds are extremely comfortable. The pool in this hotel was very nice. This is the hotel that many sports teams stay at when they are in town. Especially basketball teams.

You can take a train from Manhattan and the area is not nearly as bad as the Bronx. A must do when you are in New York.

The Marquette Hotel had one of the biggest rooms I had ever stayed in. I was in a corner room with tons of windows. The decor was pretty standard but the size was overwhelming. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is not too far from the Metrodome. In addition, the hotel is attached to a mall.

The Peabody Hotel is an older hotel but it has a lot of charm. The duck march is really cool. Kids love it. The hotel is in close proximity to Beal Street. In addition, for a very nice hotel the rooms are not expensive at all. I definitely recommend this hotel if you are in Memphis.

When I did a lot of business travel I stayed in a lot of Ritz Carlton hotels. However, on one occasion I had the opportunity to stay at the Chicago Four Seasons. This hotel is usually rated as one of the best hotels in the country. I have to agree. The service in this hotel is unbelievable. Anything you need will be taken care of. In addition, the food in the hotel is fantastic. We had a meeting at the hotel and it was a buffet style dinner. It had to be one of the best buffet dinners I ever had. The bed was extremely comfortable. But make no mistake, you will pay for this luxury through the nose.

I stayed at the W Seattle when it first opened. I had the opportunity to take a tour of the hotel prior to its opening. This hotel was fantastic. I have always been a fan of Starwood hotels and the W is one of the best chains I have seen. The rooms are small but are incredibly decorated. I love the color scheme. The bar in the hotel was very cool an different. It is a young person's hotel in that it is luxurious but not ornate like Ritz Carltons.
