Mike's Movies moved into the local corner and they now have a mix of DVDs, gifts and pizza. There selection is solid match with what is contemporary. They have even do a special effort and indicate Mike's pick with a sticker on selected DVDs. Mike's Movies also have 5 for $5 buck specials. I know that everyone is moving toward Netflix or Blockbuster, but there is something to be said about meeting your neighbors at the corner store and sharing comments about different movies. I'll continue to shop in the local store for movies and pick up my Mike's pre-made pizza. Nice experience.

The Minnesota Zoo is one of favorite family mainstays. We have had a membership for the last 5 years and we are convinced that is the way to go. It doesn't take many visits to break even and it reduces the added pressure to race through the whole zoo. There is so much to see, sometimes it's great just to focus on one area. The kids get a chance to become very familar with an area that they start to see beyond the obvious and think deeper about what they are seeing. It's great to have such a great zoo in the local community. Visit the zoo and better yet...become a member.

There is no worry when the children touch something, because that is what this museum is about. It is very hands on and every aspect of the museum is made to enhance the educational experience. Take the time and visit the museum...often.

Children's Theater in Minneapolis is one of the best theaters in the Twin Cities and has to be one of the best children's theaters in the country. They get top shows every year and we go to as many as we can. Our children absolutely the shows and the total experience. What a great way to create family memories. I highly recommend a visit to the theater. Once is all it will take for you to be hooked.

The teams management do just about everything to ensure the fans have a good time. The pull out everything including Elvis, dressed pigs, enteraining ushers, and many many silly races in between innings. Take some time out during the summer, go to this real park, tail gate and have fun!

As in most places, getting the righ information depends on who you speak with, but they do the best to get to the right person or get the answer. The fact that it is the only game in town for most of the brands they carry creates complacency and limits the upside for great service.

Theatre in the Round is one of the best local theaters in the Twin Cities. TRP consistently performs despite engaging in challenging material. There is no other theater space like this in the cities. The seats completely surround the stage and draws the audience in. Only 250 seats makes every experience special. Best thing about is this is a non-proft organization. The theatre is in the heart of Seven Corners, which is one of the liveliest night spots in the Cities.

One of the best neighborhood park is Pearl Park of Minneapolis. The park has newly renovated facility and the park is chock full of amenities. This park has something for everyone. They have a baseball field, basketball court, football field, hockey rink, ice rink, picnic area, soccer field, softball field, tennis court, tot lot/playground, volleyball court, wading pool and walking path. They have movie nights and various festivals. All this in a neighborhood park. You can't beat it.

If you are looking for a local liquor store that is convenient and simple, then Hum's Liquor store is the location for you. The wine and beer selection is basically simple. Don't expect much. The staff is average but at least they help you get what you need and out the door. Again, don't expect much. And a special treat is that they deliver. The fact that they are right on Lyndale makes for a quick in and out, which is better than most other stores.

Patina is one of the best places to shop gifts, cards, trinkets, etc. We mostly shop at the 50th Avenue location. All are more or less the same and all are great. The service level is always consistent and friendly. And the product selection is always fun. No matter what the mood is I go in with, there is always plenty of items in the store to make you smile.
