While spending a summer in magical Santa Fe, there is one place that my roommate and I found ourselves going back to day after day. And this is not just because we lived close by. The Santa Fe Baking Co. made us feel right welcome from the beginning. The owner Eric knew us by name from the second time in, and the whole staff was always attentive, thoughtful, and fun. It is evident that we were not the only ones that felt this way, because the place was packed all the time (often with the same faces - always a good sign). The breakfast burrito was my favorite, but they make all sorts of other breakfast and lunch items with that great Southwestern flair. They also make delicious pastries, they even picked out a different cookie than the one we had picked out to make sure we were getting the best one there! They have a juice and smoothie bar as well, and, of course, coffee. The other thing we loved about going there was the true Santa Fe feeling you get there. All walks of life hang out there, and we never failed to have an interesting experience there.

I don't understand how this place is not packed every time we go in, and I am almost tempted to not tell others just because I am a little selfish and like to have yummy restaurants to myself. But the place is so good that I can't not tell others about it, especially since it is in the middle of LA. Every time we go we are treated like royalty. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is so good that i find myself daydreaming of it often. They have take out and delivery, and they have an excellent lunch buffet on the weekdays. We always find ourselves ordering way too much because everything is so good that we can't decide. We justify it by saying that we'll have leftovers to take home, but we never do...

This spa has it all - fun and friendly staff, attentive and knowledgeable technicians, hip decor up front and a relaxing ambience in the back - and all this is in the middle of fabulous San Francisco! My sister and I were taken care of from the moment we stepped in the door until the moment we left. My massage was by far the best I have had, and friends are still complimenting my "glowing" skin a week after my facial. The prices are very affordable for such high quality services, and at night the spa turns into a hip place for private parties and chic San Francisco events. Stepping off the busy streets into Spa Bar is quite a treat, but stepping out of there afterwards feeling like a queen is even better!
