This boba shop that's located right next to the UT campus and in the same building as Starbucks is definitely just "ok". It tastes okay, but because of the variety of boba being sold around other portions near the UT campus, it really just doesn't compare. Coco's and Tapioca House definitely have the best boba (Tapioca House is better and cheaper) and even the Pho restaurant on the drag (Guadalupe) sells boba. If you want a real boba experience I recommend Coco's or Tapioca House. The boba shop itself is small as well and they do not serve food like the other boba shops.

This is the best place to hit for sushi happy hour. The quality is not as close to Musashino, but it's well worth the $2-$5 you pay. I've never seen happy hour this cheap before. You may want to get there early because there may be a long line before they even open the doors. However, this place is great if you're just having the sushi crave and don't have enough money to hit the high end sushi bars (*cough* UT students). I recommend the longhorn roll and the spicy tuna roll. Both are on the happy hour menu and both taste unique to the restaurant. I believe the Ichiban beer is also $2 as well. This place is just really really good!

In my opinion, this is the best Korean restaurant in Austin. None of the Korean restaurants in Austin are as good as the ones in Dallas of course (bigger Korean population in Dallas), but I think this restaurant comes closest to the taste. They also do not use MSG. This restaurant's food tends to be a little spicy so make sure your tongue can handle it. They also have a sushi bar and sushi happy hour that you definitely want to hit for the 20% off deal. If it is your first time, I highly recommend ordering Kalbi (Korean style bbq'ed beef) or Bulgogi. Kalbi is the ultimate fav. The people are friendly and if you have any needs the owner is usually there. The food is very clean too since I've been to the back and seen the process myself.

Musashino serves the best sushi in Austin. Credibility runs through the head sushi chef with his experience under Morimoto (from Iron Chef on the Food Network). The portions are larger than high scale sushi restaurants (i.e. the infamous Nobu) which is a huge plus and they also make it with the best sushi rice preparation (many sushi restaurants do not even bother making sushi rice appropriately). Get ready to spit out a lot of money, but I recommend you go during lunch time and sit right in front of the bar. Order omakase (the chef decides what to make you) and if you're explorative type, then be sure to tell them because you might get lucky enough to get the creative items not even offered on the menu. The fish is extremely fresh and I recommend their eel and fatty tuna.

I think this is one of the best Chinese food buffets in Austin. They also serve some sushi (usually in a variety of 3-4 different types of fish) and some Korean barbecue dishes as well such as bulgogi and kalbi... all time favs. I say try everything the first round, then pick and choose your favorites on the next. I highly recommend this buffet to anyone and frankly all the locations taste really good.
