It's an interesting name, but my friends all recommend him. Parking can be a problem since you have to park on the street, but he is a very nice accountant who looked like he has been preparing taxes for 50 years.
There are actually two of them, a tax dude and a tax lady. My interview was with the taxdude. He went over my taxes line by line and was pretty patient with my questions.
He gets booked up really early.. so make your appointments early.

I had both ACLs on both knees repaired at this place. Different years. The doctors are first rate. They treat a lot of the San Diego professional athletes.
They may be a little pricey, but since my insurance covered it, my wallet did not suffer too much. Usually they use outpatient centers to do their surgery.
Both my legs are working well, with slight loss of power (probably due to me not excesizing as much now) I have had no knee problems what so ever after their surgery.
One thing important about knee ACL surgery.. after surgery, the doctors put my knee on a mobilizer immediately (That same day) They tell me the mobilizer will work joint and helps prevent scar tissue will forming. I later learned how important this was when another of mine co-worker who did not have this post surgery procedure could not straigten out his legs due to scar tissue around his knees from ACL surgery. This step is crucial to 100% walking and returning to sports.

This place is not one of those chains, but it's a great place to get your car fixed. I have been going there for years, the mechanics are honest and tell you exactly what is wrong. They won't try and persuade you into getting an full 30, or 60 thousand mile checkups. (Which I don't particularly believe in, all those seems to be checks) For those of us that look under the hood once in a while, and do routine oil changes, this place is great for doing routine checkup.

Most of the time the gardners show up with saws to just trim, these guys come equiped with the big grinder/mulcher and lots of other equipment. I had 4 of my tall palm trees trimmed, as well as some other trees rounded and a root dug up.
The price was cheaper than some of those that weren't as well equiped. The other guys just pile the stuff into the back of a truck and haul it off. These guys actually look like they are pros.

My sister who was a berkeley student took me to this place one morning, apparently this is a big hit with the local students and population.
Great food, good prices, hard to find seats in the mornings on weekend and definitely hard parking. (But then this is berkeley and oakland.. parking is always hard)
Try some of the parking on the side streets or be a parking shark and eye patrons leaving the resturant.
Great down home atmosphere, good to just go and relaze over some crepes and coffee. Lots of crepes types on the chaulk board. The place is usually bustling with laughter and chatter, so not a place if you want to have peace and quiet.

Price is reasonable and less expensive than the other thai place in the area, , Thai house down the street.
We usually get the thai fried rice and another dish, most of the time we mix the thai fried rice with white rice that comes with the other dish so it dampens the strong flavor somewhat.
As with all Thai places, you can get pretty spicey dishes on tha scale of 1 to 10.. beware of 10.
The atmosphere is good too, although less high scale than the other one. They have a great lunch menu , and the place is not too pack during lunch.

Great food.. great views of the bay and ocean. The bread is first rate, and they make it fresh, you can literally see the bakery and someone rolling the dough as you walk in.
There are smaller tables by the bay windows that look out in to the sea, gets a little bright during sunset , but what a view!
No problems parking.. there is a hughe parking lot just outside of teh resturant. This is park of the dock within a park, so the atmosphere outside is very soothing too, not some place bustling with other resturants.
Make a reservation, the place was super crowded on Berkeley graudation day, it didn't help that some of the local high schools had their prom that day as well.
It's great for that special occasion. I recommend the salt rubbed prime rib if you didn't what to get. The seafood was fresh too.

They serve a special shanhai crusine, not exotic, we almost call it basic foods. It's kind of the like the "comfort foods" term for me in terms of chinese food.
IMake reservations or go early. I showed up at 5 pm when they opened, and there was already a line with about 7 or 8 parties in front of me. The place filled up 10 minutes later.
Most of the patrons are Japanese and Chinese, so you know you are gettig authentic chinese food.
Don't expect too much in terms of resturant service, the waitresses are too busy carry streamed trays of buns to mind you too much, but you can always ask them for stuff. The menu is just a sheet with item and Qty on it.. quick and simple.
If you are a first timer, you have to try the standard "sho lon bao" Small steam pork buns.. these buns are soupy and hot inside so be careful when you start eating them. Garnish them with ginger and soy sauce ( a small plate should be on the table)
The veggie and pork dumplings were not that great, try the chicken dumping instead.
Price? About $6.00 for a tray of 10 buns.. not cheap, but they make it up with quality. You can easily get full with two trays of these per person. Try ordering various ones for variety.

If you go.. look around, the place is pretty much filled with Japanese families and business man. This pretty much shows how authenitic this place is.
It's semi-pricy.. but the quality is great. reservations rquired, I would not even go without one.

The baklava is great, although pricey. They seem to have bought the baklava from another place, but I have no idea where.. they are tastier than the ones from Costco though.
All their wraps are great, I am not sure about the meat pie though.
