You will not be disappointed at the items in this store. They also sell traditional chinese martial arts uniforms with northern and southern kung fu uniform styles. Their prices are a bit high, but that is because these uniforms are imported.

Volunteers tutor reading and math after school and on the weekends in addition to the English as a second language classes for adults. Come on over and check out the programs that are right for you.

Chinese Christian Union Church is a great church. It has service in both Chinese and English on sunday mornings. Also has sunday school for the kids. It has a great preschool class and also programs in English as a second language. For students, there are fellowships on friday for middle school and high school students. For college and working 20-somethings there are also fellowships and bible study during the week after 7 pm. For those who are interested, there are are pleanty of volunteering opportunities.

Giftland is one of my favorite gift shops in Chinatown. I have been going here for years buying cute little gifts for my girlfriend and little cousins. They have lots of chinese and japanese anime, comic book, video game figures. Lots of key chains and stuffed animals too. I especially like their cool cartoony stationary. If you are also interested in some traditional chinese gowns, they have some in the back of the store too. I hightly recoomend this place. They will also wrap your gifts free of charge.

I went to this travel agent to look for a good deal to Hong Kong this past may. The travel agent was not very friendly towards me since i did not speak Mandarin. She did not even have th courtesy to give a simple greeting when i entered, After having crossed the language barrier, she did look up prices for me and departure times and they were both comparable to other places in chinatown. One good thing was that she did a followup call to me to give me new flights that became available. This is one of the mroe popular agents in Chinatown.

They have good prices for airfare and may be able to negotiate some nice vacation packages that may include some hotel stays. I do recommend that you shop arround, since in Chinatown, speaking to different agents using different languages may give you different prices.

Diversey River Bowl was formerly known as Rock N Bowl. It is know for its bright lights, strobe and neon, and also the fog effect. It is a very busy bowling alley in the evenings on weekend, so do come early to reserve a lane. It is a bit too crowded for my liking, but cosmic bowl is a nice feature to try out if you have not seen it before. Basicly they turn off the lights and use the black lights on the lanes and add a bit of fog. I would not recommend taking the kids here in the evenings due to the heavy smoke and drinking from the patrons.
