Le Gateau Elegant is a great little bakery located in the shopping area in downtown Martinez. They have limited parking on the streets which have meters. They have an elegant storefront display showing off the artistic talents of the baker. We ordered our wedding cake from this place and they delivered it to our reception. I was very happy with the design and the cake was delicious.

Sunflower bakery is located right off the freeway in a small shopping plaza. Wedding and birthday cakes are displayed on the walls behind the glass counters where more of the baked goods are also displayed. They do not have any tables or chairs so people just drop in and out to buy baked goods. I often came here to buy their baked goods when I lived in the area and still drop by whenever I get a chance to be in the area again. Their stuff are delicious.

The San Pablo Supermarket is an asian foods grocery store is located not too far from the freeway. It is in the International Marketplace plaza. They have a large parking lot so parking is not a problem here. They sell a large variety of asian food products like seafood, meats, fresh produce and they also have a frozen foods section. The store is dingy though and the floor can be dirty especially by the seafood area. However it is a great place to go for asian foods since the popular grocery stores don't carry most of what is sold in this store..

We hired this lady to perform in our daughter's birthday party and I would have to say I was very disappointed. We selected her because she was the most inexpensive one by the hour but I guess we got what we paid for. She did a few magic tricks which were okay and she also some balloon animals but that I thought was poor. She did some face painting and we thought that was poor as well. We would never consider hiring her again.

Imagine Hair Beauty salon is located right off the freeway and is inside of the Ranch Market building. This place has a large parking lot outside but it can be difficult to find an available parking space during the weekends. This salon has tacky decor. You can just walk in to get a hair cut but the quality is not consistant and I would not recommend it.

The storefront sign and display were very cute and enticed me to go in the first time I went there. They have a lot of variety of unique items similar to what you would find in a craft fair. I often go here to find a unique gift for friends. Their prices are very good, not too expensive.

D Vallerio bakery is not far from the freeway and is located in the International Marketplace plaza. It is next door to an asian foods grocery store. Unfortunately, it is easy to ovverlook this place because their sign is small and it is overpowered b the large grocery store next door. This is a tiny bakery that sell Filipino baked goods and pastries. They only accept cash. Their merchandise are very good though and I often go there myself when I'm in the area.

Crockett Auto Service is a great auto repair shop located in an inconvenient spot I think. It is a bit of a drive from the freeway and is located not close to anything in particular. They do provide free estimates and the staff are very friendly and accomodating. I got some body repair done on my car and was very happy with the result. They are a little more expensive than other car repair shops that I checked on but I decided to use them despite this because I got a good referral from someone I trust.

The decor is okay, nothing fancy and I am usually able to get a haircut on a drop-in basis without an appointment. The owner is a very nice lady and likes to chat with you while she cuts your hair.

The Appian 80 Dry Cleaner is located very close to the freeway in a shopping plaza by Blockbuster. This is a small store but they do keep a database of all their customers. Therefore they are able to obtain your data again when you come back for more of their service. Their turnaround is about average for their dry cleaning and their prices are also pretty decent. The staff are friendly and helpful.
