I guess it's the same with any small theatre, they play second run movies, their screens are smaller, but their prices are great (especially when movies are 9 dollars a person nowadays) not crowded, and it has some character. If you want to see this summer's big blockbuster, by all means go to the neighberhood multiplex, spend over 20$ for you and your date and sit in a crowded room (but it's true, there is surround sound). But if you want to watch an old classic, or it's a movie you can wait to see, go down the the little theatre where the night will be a lot more memorable.
