I am ashamed to say that I have worked for Mrs. Patsy Baker ""Dr. Baker"".... I am not to sure where to start so I am just going to start with Patsy as a person not as a preschool owner.. Well I'm sure all of you have met Mrs. Grace she is Mrs. Patsy's aunt and if you have not met her well let's just say she is In her 80s and is still running Patsy's center for her.. Without Mrs. Grace the center would be nothing. Patsy goes months without stopping by the center (unless DCS has been called to come check on something of course) and Grace works every day, she even works on weekends to make sure everything gets done. Patsy wrote her staff a letter saying that she no longer is going to run the center because she wanted to travel and enjoy the time she has left.. How thoughtful of her while her Aunt that is in her 80s works everyday so that she can pay her bills.. Also the way Patsy treats her employees is terrible she doesn't even know all of her employees names.. I was there three months before I had even met the lady.. I have seen Patsy snap her fingers at an employee to get their attention because she didn't know their name. She never stops to ask the employees if there is anything they need or if everything is going ok, she never shows any type of appreciation to them and has had people working for her for 8 years and have never given them a raise.. To get her employees to stay Our Christmas presents was ""A fun day in the sun"" it's half of a day off with pay but you can't take it until June. Also I was offered $1000 dollars to tell her who was behind the bad review from Ramona Firecracker.. There is so much more that I can say about the kind of person she is but I'm sure you get the gist.. Moving on to her as a preschool owner.. When it comes to supplies she only buys new supplies when 3* time comes around, If you ask for any supplies at any other time of the year then Grace will buy them with her money or you have to buy your own. We have to rip paper towels in half for meal times, we have bleach bottles that do not work, we have collected plastic spoons after lunch to let Marsha wash them so we could use them again, we fill up our soap despisers with 25% soap and 75% water, and ect ect.... In other words she is cheap! When it comes to food our proportions are not what they are supposed to be.. I have been given a box of vanilla wafers that was just enough to serve everyone of my two year old children ONE wafer!! I have called DCS DHS and the investigator that has came to investigate the food situation and told them about the food proportions and also how we never have any supplies but when they come to check they just give Patsy warnings. She knows to many people and it gets her out of trouble Everytime! I am not writing this because I am mad or jealous I am writing this because I am a concerned child care provider that would want nothing more than to see Patsy put her heart into her center like Mrs. Grace and all of the current employees do!! This is not a center I would recommend to anybody and if you are looking for a center that goes by the books you should check out the giving tree, just for kids 2, or kiddie college..
