I will not bore everyone with the absolute HORROR that happened with this company while I was a tenant in one of their properties. Just suffice to say they will make everything out to be YOUR fault no matter what the situation I moved out almost a month ago and they kept over half of my deposit for things that were NOT on the initial walk through of the house by their inspector. By California Civil Code and the California State Department of consumer affairs the initial walk through MUST identify deficiencies that could be charged to the deposit to give the tenant an opportunity to remedy PRIOR to charging the tenant for them. Their inspector identified NOTHING that we were charged for. In fact the inspector only took about 20 minutes and said the place looked good and he would not add anything to the list. We were shocked when we received our deposit back. If you feel that Oak Tree Property Management withheld part or all of your security deposit that they should not have I beg you to please post to this site ""Me Too"" and I will make arrangement to contact you. I am trying to resolve this out of court but if I have to go to small claims court, which I will, it would be great to have a notarized statement from anyone that has had a similar experience.
