Unfortunately my experience with Rohe and Wright has been a disaster story. I built and designed my home with Rohe and Wright and moved in 7/2009. A year later I noticed a crack n the stucco on my first floor. Later I had water leakage into my master bath from my fourth floor rooftop. Rohe and Wright first claimed in an email that they would attempt to ""place coverage with either their Errors and Omissions policy for their design firm or their General Liability insurance for their building company. When they discovered that their insurance company had gone bankrupt, they refused ANY RESPONSIBILITY to fix the situation. (This situation, after independent testing, has resulted in remediation costs estimated at of over $300k and me having to vacate my home for at least 6 months. There are three homes in our block, all built by R & W. The first was remediated, TWICE, for water damage problems, leaky balconies, improperly installed windows by R&W because they had a business relationship with the owner. They denied ANY responsibility to myself and the other homeowner despite he issues being EXACTLY the same and the homes being BUILT EXACTLY at the same time. DO NOT do business with them no matter how fancy their website is or what promises they make on it. They will ONLY be responsive to problems if there is no way they can weasel out from or wear you down. My insurance company, who is currently remediating the problem, has over 9 similar cases in Houston and this is just that insurance company.! A previous home I owned that was built by R&W in 2006 had severe water problems also. They only fixed the problem when the civil suit was about to go to trial and then demanded that the successful plaintiff NOT DISCLOSE any of the terms of settlement. There are so many reputable builders in Houston that do great work - go to them and save yourself so much heartache, trouble and money!
