After doing extensive research I chose the office of Dr. Ronald Sherman a the Trish Mcavoy skin care center for correction for my nasolabial folds. Iam 28 years old and have had this procedure down before and felt very confident in my decision based on my finding of excellent reviews For Dr. Sherman and the over all 'good-name' of the office. The day of my appointment I was surprised to learn that Dr. Ronald Sherman actually did not work at the office at all and was retired (this should have been red flag #1). I am taken into the exam room by a friendly staff member. After a brief wait Dr. Ryan B. Turner enters the room. He was very pleasant and nice but appeared rather hasty and rushed. I thoroughly explained what I was aiming to achieve and knew to be realistic expectations based on prior experience with Juveder Ultra Plus (the filler used). He said he ""got it"", Once he began injecting my face I knew something was wrong. He was going very fast and not taking his time whatsoever. I eve felt the filler leak down my face, which is a big NO NO. After less than five minutes after he started he stated he was done and left the room. Based on my experience getting Juvedem from previous doctors, I knew that this procedure usually takes at least 45 minute to 1 hour. Upon looking in the mirror I was horrified at what I saw. He had injected the filler in areas that I did not specify (between my bottom lip and chin) which cased a ghastly bulbous protrusion which had not been there before. The nasolabial areas treated looked very sloppy, unfinished and uneven. I also noticed that my skin was bruised up a lot more that usual. I politely asked the front dest receptionist if I could see the doctor again. She coldly replied that it was not possible and I would have to book another appointment. After paying I left the office I headed home. Upon seeing face in the mirrors of my building's elevator, I started crying and was very upset at what I saw. I was very upset and rather depressed by the outcome of this procedure. I looked better before I went than after. Which breaks the folded rule of cosmetic procedure.\r \r Long story short, I called The Dr. Ronald Sherman/Trish McEvoy Skin Care Center two days later and expressed my disappointment in the outcome of my results. I was leaving on vacation in a few days and was concerned about having to go away with my face looking the way it did. The receptionist was not very amenable to help and told me that she can squeeze me in in two weeks. After returning from my vacation and since my face had not at all improved and that the needle's entry point marks/bruises were very dark and not fading, I decided I was not comfortable going back to that office and that enough damage was already done. \r \r I ended up going to another dermatologist paying a few hundred dollars and enduring the discomfort of having the filler placed by The Dr. Ronald Sherman/Trish McEvoy Skin Care Center chemically dissolved out of my face, whilst also paying another $800 for a new Juvederm filler. \r \r \r \r more
