This is the place to be!!!
I have always admired the movements of the dancers, the drums, and excitement in African dance. So as the New Year came around one of my many ""resolutions"" were to lose 12-15 pounds by the summer. I decided to look into African Dance classes. My one concern was time, not being too sure if I would have the time to fit it n so I halted my search for a while. One day I was watching ROHA and noticed that two of the women on the show went to an African Dance class in preparation for their trip to Africa, that's when I decided to search again. I came across Djoniba Dance studio and like everyone else I did my research before I signed up for the class. He was featured on various media sites, news outlets and blogs. I read his biography and what impressed me the most was where he was trained, which was in Africa. So you can call him an adjunct teacher. I can honestly say that I didn't think Djoniba himself was going to be my instructor; I thought it would've been a session with a professional instructor taught by Djoniba. When I realized it was him I was knew I made the right choice. I signed up for the free class and was hooked. I make an effort to attend at minimum once a week. Djoniba is extremely professional and one thing I love about the class is the diversity of students. I encourage you to join if you're looking for excitement, dance therapy, and lose weight get in shape or whatever. Just join and have some fun!!!!!! Btw, I've lost a few pounds so far and after a long day at work I look forward to class. See you there!!!!!!!!!!!
