I have had my car loan with Crescent Bank since June, 2010. I got a call from a woman in January 2012 telling me that my payment was not received. I checked my bank account and called her back to tell her that the check had cleared.. I have never been late on a payment and I even document the date that I mail my payments. She wasn't able to explain what happened, but assured me that everything was okay with my account. Of course, she didn't apologize.
On March 13, 2012 I had a message on my phone from a guy named Victor. I called back and got a lady that informed me that my March payment has not been received. Same as January, the check had already cleared my bank. So, then she said that it was actually February that was missing. Knowing that this check had cleared as well, I asked to speak to her supervisor. She transferred me to ""my account rep"" who was unable to help me so I talked to another lady that told me that I wasn't late on my payments at all, but my payments are being applied to ""misc charges"" that I owe. I asked her what these charges are and she couldn't tell me. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she put me on hold for 10 minutes before the call was disconnected. When I called back, I got another lady who was unbelievably rude! She told me that they mailed a letter to me about my misc charges and when I told her that I had not received anything in the mail from them and I need to know what these charges are, again asked to speak to a supervisor, but she went on to tell me that it isn't her fault that I didn't answer calls from them or open my mail. I asked her for the dates that they had attempted to call me and the date that this supposed letter was mailed and she told me that I was being rude and hung up on me.
I am very concerned that this company is shady and I am waiting on my attorney to call me back to tell me where to do from here.
