This park has high potential due to the location by the beautiful river and mountainside, but all of the people in this campground were cranky.
From the beginning to end the staff were rude and militaristic. Making the reservation over the phone was difficult at best. We payed a decent price to be camped by the river where there are no septic ports, yet water and electric were available. When I pulled over as we were leaving to ask where I could empty my septic (after passing at least 20 empty sites with available septic drainage ports) the receptionist curtly replied that I would have to drive to Tumwater to dump. REALLY?!?!
There are many other beautiful campgrounds along this Icicle Creek corridor. I highly recommend you keep driving past this snobby, cranky, geriatric, elitist campground and find a more relaxing, peaceful place to stay.
